Minato was a common-born genius renowned for exceptional combat awareness, reflexes, analytical ability, and talent. He independently mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique and improved it into a style of speed that earned him the title Yellow Flash, with Iwagakure issuing orders that its shinobi could abandon missions rather than face him. 22 145

During the Third Shinobi World War, he helped reverse Konoha's crisis against Iwagakure and signed Konoha's victorious peace treaty with the village. Sarutobi Hiruzen promoted Minato as the most controllable candidate for Fourth Hokage, intending to preserve influence from behind the scenes.
