He had seen this seal more than once in the original story, so naturally, he knew what was going on!

Kangetsu immediately pressed his hand against the black scroll. A black, ink-like substance slowly receded, and only then did he discover that the scroll itself was actually blue!

He unrolled the scroll slightly and took a look. His pupils widened a little! Then he thought, Storm Release, lightning-nature chakra, and water-nature chakra! And this lump of black stuff... heh! No wonder!

Kangetsu studied the scroll. It described how to obtain Storm Release chakra, along with several Storm Release ninjutsu, and repeatedly mentioned the black, gemstone-like object he was holding! Before this, Kangetsu had had no idea what it was!

But when he read that it was a crystal of yin release chakra, Kangetsu realized what it was!

In fact, during this Warring States Period, no one knew how to use the so-called Yin-Yang Release. Even if someone did, their knowledge was only rudimentary! Only the four great clans-the Uzumaki, Hyuga, Uchiha, and Senju, the Four Clans-possessed, or had the potential to possess, those two powers!

Black Zetsu was Otsutsuki Kaguya's third son, and the one who had spent a thousand years laying plans to resurrect her! His entire body was black, probably because of Yin Release. Since he possessed Yin Release, Kangetsu now knew where the yin release chakra crystal in his hand had come from!

Although he did not know what Black Zetsu was planning at the moment, none of this was something Kangetsu could stop. He was still far too weak, and when it came to someone like Black Zetsu, it was better to pretend he knew nothing for now!

Still, he would keep this scroll, though he would have to store it carefully himself. Upon learning all this, Kangetsu recalled scenes from the original story! This scroll was probably why Madara could use Storm Release. After all, the Hagoromo Clan would later be wiped out by the Uchiha and Senju clans, so it would hardly be surprising if Uchiha Madara obtained this scroll then!

This was probably also why Black Zetsu had been able to take direct control of Uchiha Madara, even though Madara was already in Six Paths Mode at the time! The reason was likely this little black chakra crystal in Kangetsu's hand!

And the Third's black lightning, along with Darui's black lightning, probably came from this chakra crystal too! After all, this yin release chakra crystal could be passed down!

Having finished thinking it through, Kangetsu smiled faintly and used five-element ninjutsu to seal both the black crystal in his hand and the Storm Release material once again!

Then Kangetsu put the scroll away, raised his head, and slowly gazed at the sunlight, which felt somewhat cool!
