In the seventh year of Konoha, Uchiha Madara located and controlled the Nine-Tails based on intelligence, battled Hashirama, and faked his death.
In the eighth year of Konoha, the Five Great Nations were established, and Hashirama initiated the first Five Kage Summit. The other four nations exchanged money for Tailed Beasts.
From the ninth to the twelfth year of Konoha, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade—the future Sannin—were born in succession.
In the thirteenth year of Konoha, shortly after Hashirama's sudden passing, the First Shinobi World War broke out. The turbulent years had begun once again.
Konoha year 45, Land of Fire.
A boy of about seven or eight was leaping continuously through the trees, fleeing as seven or eight ninja pursued him.
"Heh, kid, if you stop now, we might spare you. After all, we only want your Sharingan."
"Go to hell, you bastards!"
The boy retorted while running, offering his regards to the pursuers' families. This boy was Ye Shifei, a transmigrator from Blue Star, now known as Uzumaki Hise.
His original name was Uchiha Hise, but for the safety of his family, his father had lived under an assumed identity, never revealing his surname. Outside, he used his mother's surname, Uzumaki.
Born in Konoha year 37, he was now eight years old. As is standard for transmigrators, he started as an orphan.
His system activated at age three. By signing in once a month and completing daily training tasks issued by the system, he had obtained many things: various Chinese martial arts and foreign combat techniques, Chakra-boosting pills, Chakra-recovery pills, basic and low-level ninjutsu, full-attribute Chakra, the Sharingan and Byakugan, and the Senju clan's monstrous strength and sensory abilities. His strength had reached the level of a Special Jonin; he was, by all accounts, a genius.
However, the group pursuing him included one Jonin, three Chunin, and four Genin, leaving him no choice but to flee.
When he was three, his family encountered bandits. His father, Sakuragi Hei, used his Sharingan to fight them. Midway through, they encountered the rogue ninja Kakuzu from Takigakure, who killed his father. He and his mother barely escaped. His mother fell into a deep depression thereafter, and she passed away when he was five.
He began living independently, fortunate that the system provided him with some means of self-preservation in the shinobi world.
Today, he had been self-studying the Rasengan, using his Sharingan to observe the changes in the sphere in his palm, when he unexpectedly ran into these rogue ninja. Upon seeing his Sharingan, they had attacked him.
"Damn it, there are too many of them. System, you bastard, give me something overpowered!"
"Eh, I only wanted you to build a solid foundation, Host."
"Damn it, Tanzaku Town is less than half a kilometer away. If I run to a crowded place, I should be able to shake them off."
"Host, you should turn back and fight them. You won't grow stronger by being such a coward."
"Tch, I'll talk about growing stronger once I've kept my life. What's the point of strength if I'm dead?"
"Ding! Mission issued: Kill the pursuing enemies. Four Genin, reward: Shadow Clone Technique. Three Chunin, reward: Instant-cast Rasengan. One Jonin, reward: Complete Fire Release Ninjutsu Compendium. All: Ten-consecutive draw."
Good grief! I was just playing it safe, and now you're forcing me to fight? But with such generous rewards, it seems I have no choice.
Hise thought to himself.
His current total Chakra reserves were even greater than those of a twelve-year-old Naruto. If he killed them all, the rewards would grant him the strength of a Jonin, especially since he had spent these years practicing only basic, low-level ninjutsu and a semi-finished Rasengan.
Hise turned and threw several kunai; explosive tags were attached to the handles, making them difficult to spot.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Two ninja died before they could dodge, but the others ignored them and charged at Hise. Hise activated his Sharingan, formed a single seal, and condensed Chakra in his throat, spewing a five-meter-diameter Fireball at the remaining Genin. The result was self-evident.
"Damn, this kid is too freakish!"
"Getting this kid's two-tomoe Sharingan is worth it. I refuse to believe that three Chunin and one Jonin can't take down this brat!"
With that, the strongest Jonin drew his blade and charged at Hise, followed closely by the three Chunin.
"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"
"Wind Release: Great Sandstorm!"
The wind whipped up the sand, and the fire followed. The wind fueled the flames, and the fire scorched the sand.
Hise quickly formed seals, using Earth Wall to block the attack. He leaped away, pulled several iron lumps from his storage scroll, pulled the pins, and tossed them over.
The group, unaware of what these were, didn't pay much attention, merely dodging the path of the iron lumps, and then...
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"This! This! This! What is this?!"
These were, of course, grenades Hise had obtained from signing in. He didn't have many—only twenty—and he treasured them dearly. If not for the rich rewards, he wouldn't have been willing to use them.
Two Chunin died, and one was blasted into unconsciousness with half his body mangled. The remaining Jonin wasn't seriously injured, as he had used one of the dead Chunin as a meat shield.
"Brat, you've completely enraged me! I'm going to tear you limb from limb! Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave!"
"Heh, just in time. I'll test out that move of mine."
"Ahhh, I lost again today," a blonde woman walked down the street, looking utterly defeated.
"Sigh, Lady Tsunade, I've reminded you so many times. We're going to be starving again," the younger woman beside her muttered softly.
"Ahahaha, I haven't gambled in so long, I got a bit carried away," the blonde woman scratched her head, looking somewhat embarrassed.
"But don't worry, Shizune, with me here, I won't let you sleep on the streets."
These two were none other than the Three Legendary Sannin, the legendary "Big Fat Sheep" Tsunade, and the niece of her late lover, Kato Shizune.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
"Hm? A battle is happening over there?"
"Lady Tsunade, we should go," Shizune suggested, well aware of Tsunade's current situation.
"No, this is too close to Tanzaku Town. I'll make them take their fight elsewhere," Tsunade said, shaking her head.
"I know what you're worried about, but as long as we don't stare, it won't be a problem." Tsunade patted Shizune on the shoulder and dashed toward the source of the noise.
"Lady Tsunade, wait for me!" Shizune followed helplessly.
Just as they were about to arrive, a child's shout rang out from ahead:
"Wood Style: Wood Locking Wall!"
Tsunade, who was rushing over, froze for a moment and looked at Shizune. "Did you... did you hear that just now?"
"Yes, I heard 'Wood Style'." Shizune knew Wood Style was the signature jutsu of Tsunade's grandfather, so it was no wonder Tsunade reacted so strongly.
"Hurry, let's go see." Tsunade's breathing quickened; she wanted to see if the opponent truly possessed Wood Style and if he was a descendant of her grandfather.
Within seconds, they arrived and hid behind a tree to observe the battle. What met their eyes was a man in his thirties and a child of seven or eight.
Just then, the child unleashed Wood Style again.
"Wood Style: Violent Wood Spear!"
A thick wooden spike erupted from the ground, piercing straight into the man's abdomen.
The boy did not let up, rushing forward to deliver a Baji Quan Heart-Striking Elbow!
He then engaged the man in close-quarters combat.
Products from the system are always of the highest quality.
The various martial arts rewarded by the system were as if carved directly into his brain, allowing him to switch from one technique to another with fluid, cloud-like ease.
The Jonin, having been ambushed head-on by Fei Shi twice, began to falter. After all, the gap in their strength wasn't that wide to begin with; having his abdomen pierced by Wood Style and taking a Heart-Striking Elbow left him in terrible condition. His sword fell to the ground, and once entangled by Fei Shi, he couldn't retrieve it and was forced into hand-to-hand combat.
"Lady Tsunade, that child really can use Wood Style. And he's so strong."
"Yes, and... he has the Sharingan. Is he a descendant of both the Senju and Uchiha clans? But that makes no sense."
