Tsunade saw Fei Shi use Wood Release, and also noticed his Sharingan. It was incredible to her. After her grandfather Hashirama Senju died, no one in the Senju Clan had been able to use Wood Release. Because Wood Release countered Tailed Beasts, her master, Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi, had once conducted human experiments in an effort to prevent Tailed Beasts from going berserk. But the experiments were eventually abandoned because they were cruel and had produced no successful results.
The Ninja World should have had no one left capable of using Wood Release. Yet she had seen someone who could. The fight in the woods was still going. Though Fei Shi had ambushed the jonin twice and seriously wounded him, he wasn't so easy to take down.

Fei Shi's expression went blank.
What are you putting on an act for? You're just afraid of seeing blood. Fei Shi grumbled to himself.
"Hey, kid, would you mind letting big sister get to know you?" Shizune asked.
"Pretty big sister, you should introduce yourself before asking someone else's name." Fei Shi replied with a polite, fake smile.
"Ahahaha, all right, all right. I'm Kato Shizune, and this is Lady Tsunade, one of the Konoha Sannin."
"Oh, so you're Princess Tsunade and her little sidekick."
Shizune's face darkened.
"Oh, kid, you know me?" Tsunade still hadn't turned around. She deliberately lowered her voice to sound more imposing.
"Of course. Tsunade the gambler—she loses every time. Who doesn't know that? Oh, right. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Uzumaki Hise."
Pfft!
Shizune covered her mouth, struggling not to laugh. She glanced at Tsunade and saw her face turn black as a pot.
"You say you're from the Uzumaki Clan. Do you think we're fools?"
Tsunade snapped.
"Ah, no, no. Adamantine Sealing Chains!"
Seeing the golden chains stretch toward him, Shizune was dumbfounded, while Tsunade fell into thought.
"My grandfather was from the Uchiha Clan, my grandmother from the Senju Clan. My maternal grandmother was from the Uzumaki Clan, and my maternal grandfather from the Hyuga Clan. Byakugan!"
Silence.
Utter silence.
Fei Shi could hear the two women breathing.
He knew why they were reacting like this. Anyone would think this kid was full of nonsense.
He'd revealed his identity directly because he wanted to join Tsunade. His grandmother was Hashirama's younger cousin. He'd never seen that mentioned in Naruto; perhaps the system had made it up.
Staying with Tsunade would make his life more secure. After all, who wanted to wander around forever? Since he had family ties to her, why not make use of them?
"You've told me your identity and abilities. You must have some reason for that, right?" Tsunade asked in a low voice.
"Hmm... My grandmother's name is Senju Yeri. She was Lord Hashirama's younger cousin. My mother died a few years ago, so I came to seek your protection."

Tsunade was speechless.
Do you think I'll believe anything you say?
"This is a keepsake Lord Hashirama gave my grandmother. If she took it to Konoha, the Senju Clan would look after her."
As far as he knew, his great-grandfather had opposed joining forces with the Uchiha Clan and left the Senju Clan with his daughter. Later, when his old injuries flared up again, he refused to return to the clan for treatment and passed away.

"All right. From now on, you'll stay with me. No one will dare bully you. You'll have the Leaf Ninja Village backing you. You can call me big sister, too."
"Given your age... All right, Big Sister Tsunade."
Seeing Tsunade's expression darken, Fei Shi quickly backed down.
"Still, you look familiar. I feel like I've seen you somewhere before, but I can't remember where."
On the way back to the inn, Tsunade voiced her doubts.
Fei Shi had changed into clean clothes and tidied himself up. When she saw his face, she thought he looked familiar.
"Hehe, my grandfather was Madara Uchiha. If Great-Aunt hadn't butted in back then, who knows—maybe my grandfather and yours would have defied convention and ended up together."

Night fell.
Fei Shi lay in the inn, thinking about what had happened during the day.
Whether it was because he'd shown her the keepsake or for some other reason, Tsunade believed him and treated him like a younger brother. She'd also shown him great concern and asked about his life before. Fei Shi hadn't hidden anything and had told her the truth.
Tsunade had even borrowed a million ryō from a casino and treated him to a generous meal.
"Sigh, system, collect my rewards."
"Ding! Calculating rewards... Shadow Clone Technique, instant Rasengan, complete Fire Release Ninjutsu collection, and ten-pull draw have been awarded."
It felt as if an electric current surged through his body, making him jolt. The rewarded techniques felt as if he'd practiced them millions of times; he could perform them with ease, and the simpler ones required no hand signs.
Fei Shi smiled and looked at the ten-pull draw tickets in his system inventory.
I'll draw tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow will be a lucky day, too.
