Racing Against Time

"I admit that once you fuse with Piccolo, you could indeed wipe out Captain Ginyu." Vegeta knew that in the original Dragon Ball world, the Guardian's fusion with Piccolo resulted in power that surpassed Frieza.

However, with the current strength of these two, a fusion would at best make them slightly stronger than Ginyu; surpassing Frieza would likely be very difficult.

One must remember that in the original Dragon Ball world, Piccolo had trained for a long time, and after dying, he underwent rigorous training under King Kai. Later, Piccolo went to Namek, luckily fused with Nail, and after three years of training, finally merged with the Guardian. Only then did he reach a level that surpassed Frieza.

But as things stand now, the combat power of the Guardian and Demon King Piccolo is only around two hundred. If these two were to fuse, optimistically speaking, they would only surpass Ginyu; pessimistically, they might end up at the same level as Vegeta himself.

"In that case, hurry up and hand over the Dragon Balls. Once we fuse, we will absolutely not be your enemy," the Guardian promised.

"But perhaps you don't know yet?" Vegeta smiled faintly. "This Captain Ginyu is merely a lackey for someone else. The truly formidable figure hasn't even appeared yet. That person is incredibly powerful; Captain Ginyu doesn't even amount to one-thousandth of his strength."

"What did you say?" Upon hearing this, the Guardian's expression changed drastically, and he lost his composure.

If this so-called Captain Ginyu were the final battle, the Guardian would have a sixty percent chance of defeating him after merging. But to face someone a thousand times stronger than him? That was a real headache.

"I said it before: apart from me, no one is his match," Vegeta smiled, his voice deep and serious.

"You aren't even a match for Ginyu right now, so how could you possibly defeat someone a thousand times stronger?" The Guardian looked at Vegeta with disbelief.

"I have my own methods for saying that, provided my wish is granted." Vegeta smiled lightly, then said sternly, "Let's put aside this useless talk for now. Do you have a way to communicate with Ginyu and his men? If they destroy the Earth, none of us will survive!"

"What do you want to say? I can have Piccolo relay it; he can do that," the Guardian nodded.

"Tell them I am far away, but I will appear before them within an hour," Vegeta mused.

As soon as his voice fell, Captain Ginyu's loud shouting could be heard again.

"Vegeta, you have thirty seconds left. If you don't appear, Earth is finished. I am absolutely not bluffing. Although I want to bring you to Lord Frieza, Lord Frieza said that if you keep running away, it is acceptable to just kill you!"

"Captain, this brat Vegeta doesn't seem to be listening to us," Jeice said, growing anxious as he saw Vegeta showing little reaction.

"That little punk! If it weren't for Lord Frieza ordering us to capture him alive, I would kill him with my own hands!" Ginyu gritted his teeth, wishing he could tear Vegeta to shreds.

"Captain, what should we do if he doesn't show up?" Jeice asked, unsure of what to do.

"Hmph, if he doesn't appear, we'll just blow up a part of this planet to let him know we mean business. That's a good plan, isn't it?" Ginyu laughed gleefully. "Alright, let's do it together. As long as we don't completely destroy the planet, that's enough!"
