"I admit that once you fuse with Piccolo, you could take out Captain Ginyu." Vegeta knew that in the original Dragon Ball world, the Guardian and Piccolo had surpassed Frieza after fusing.
But given their current strength, their fusion would at best make them somewhat stronger than Ginyu. Surpassing Frieza would probably still be very difficult.
After all, in the original Dragon Ball world, Piccolo had trained for a long time, then trained hard under King Kai after dying. Later, he had gone to Namek and been lucky enough to fuse with Nail. Only after another three years of training had he merged with the Guardian, finally reaching a level beyond Frieza.
Now, however, the Guardian and Demon King Piccolo each had a power level of only around two hundred. If they fused, the best-case scenario was that they would surpass Ginyu. In the worst case, they might only reach Vegeta's own level.
"In that case, hurry up and hand over the Dragon Balls. Once we fuse, we absolutely won't become your enemies," the Guardian promised.
"But there's something you probably don't know yet." Vegeta smiled faintly. "Captain Ginyu is just someone else's lackey. The truly formidable one hasn't appeared yet. He's incredibly powerful-Captain Ginyu doesn't even have a thousandth of his strength."
"What did you say?" The Guardian's expression changed drastically, and his composure slipped.
If this so-called Captain Ginyu were their final opponent, the Guardian would have given himself a sixty percent chance of defeating him after fusing. But if there was someone else a thousand times stronger, that was a real pain in the ass.
"I told you, no one but me can stand against him." Vegeta smiled, then spoke in a low, firm voice.
"You can't even beat Ginyu right now. How are you supposed to defeat someone a thousand times stronger?" The Guardian looked at Vegeta skeptically.
"If I'm saying this, then naturally I have a way-as long as my wish is granted." Vegeta smiled faintly, then turned serious. "Forget this pointless talk for now. Do you have any way to communicate with Ginyu and the others? If they destroy Earth, none of us will survive!"
"What do you want to say? I can have Piccolo relay it. He can do that." The Guardian nodded.
"Tell them I'm a long way away, and I'll be there within an hour," Vegeta said after a moment's thought.
He had barely finished speaking when Captain Ginyu began shouting again.
"Vegeta, you have thirty seconds left! If you don't show yourself, Earth will be gone! I'm not bluffing! I'd like to bring you before Lord Frieza, but Lord Frieza said that if you keep running away, we can kill you!"
"Captain, that brat Vegeta doesn't seem to be listening to us." Seeing little sign of a response from Vegeta, Jeice grew anxious.
"That little bastard! If Lord Frieza hadn't ordered us to capture him and bring him in, I'd kill him with my own hands!" Ginyu ground his teeth in fury, wishing he could tear Vegeta apart and devour him alive.
"Captain, what do we do if he doesn't show up?" Jeice had no idea what to do.
"Hmph. If he won't show himself, we'll blow up part of this planet first and let him know we mean business. Not a bad idea, eh?" Ginyu grinned gleefully. "All right, let's do it together. Just make sure we don't destroy the entire planet. That's all we need!"
