"Demon King Piccolo's in trouble. Can he hide his energy?" Vegeta asked hurriedly.
"Probably not." The Guardian shook his head. He had only recently worked out how to conceal his energy himself, so it was hardly surprising that Piccolo, who had just been released, could not do it.
"This is bad!" Vegeta's heart sank.
It was not that he was worried about Piccolo's safety. But if Piccolo died, the Guardian, who was the same person as him, would not survive either.
If the Guardian died, the Dragon Balls would disappear too, and Vegeta's wish would come to nothing.
Vegeta quickly considered how to deal with the enemy.
"Tell Piccolo he's in trouble first, and see if he has any ideas," Vegeta suggested.
"I already told him. He said he'd hide for now," the Guardian murmured.
"Hiding won't do a damn thing! They have Scouters. As long as you can't conceal your energy, finding you is easy!" Vegeta snapped angrily.
"What do you think we should do?" The Guardian was at a loss too.
"Ask Piccolo whether he's dug up the Dragon Balls yet," Vegeta said.
The Guardian fell silent, evidently communicating with Piccolo telepathically. A moment later, he shook his head, indicating that the Dragon Balls were still in their original location.
"Good. Tell Piccolo not to touch the Dragon Balls yet. Find somewhere to hide, stay put, and whatever he does, don't show himself." As Vegeta spoke, his power suddenly surged, and his powerful aura nearly blew the Guardian away.
Beep! Beep!
Ginyu and the other three, who were heading toward Piccolo, suddenly stopped. Naturally, their Scouters had picked up Vegeta's immense energy.
"Vegeta, power level sixty thousand!"
The readings on their Scouters sent a chill through Jeice and Recoome.
"Captain, could the Scouters be malfunctioning? How could Vegeta's power level possibly reach sixty thousand?" Jeice could barely believe it.
Captain Ginyu was stunned for a moment too, then smiled. "It's no malfunction. The fact that he could kill Burter so easily proves that this reading is accurate. Hmph, this Saiyan really is something. No wonder Lord Frieza specifically ordered us to bring him back."
"Captain, why is he raising his power level so high?" Jeice asked, puzzled.
"I don't know." Ginyu shook his head. After a brief silence, he seemed to realize something and issued an order to his men. "Watch the sky! Be careful-that little brat might create a full moon!" Captain Ginyu barked.
At those words, Jeice and the others braced themselves as though facing a formidable enemy. They immediately halted and watched the sky for any sign of movement.
Sure enough, after about three minutes, a brilliant light shot into the sky, blazing fiercely like a full moon shining overhead.
"All of you, blast it with everything you've got!" Ginyu ordered loudly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Amid the thunderous explosions, the brilliant light was blasted to pieces, and white smoke soon billowed from it.
"Vegeta, what are you trying to do?" the Guardian asked, puzzled.
"Tell me, how long is it until the full moon?" Rather than answer the Guardian's question, Vegeta asked one of his own.
"The full moon? It's still a long way off," the Guardian said.
"You're Earth's god. Don't you have any way to make the full moon come early?" Vegeta asked.
