"You idiot, that person is Nappa," Captain Ginyu cursed. "Fine, let's kill Nappa first. Lord Frieza is going to wipe out the entire Saiyan race soon anyway, so we might as well clear out the Saiyans on Earth first."

Jeice and Recoome nodded in agreement.

The next moment, the three of them streaked across the sky like a bolt of white light, speeding toward Nappa's location.

"Vegeta, heh, I didn't expect this moment to come so soon..." The Guardian's form was becoming increasingly blurred; he was not far from vanishing.

"Old man, if you have any last wishes, speak them. As long as it's within my power, I'll do it," Vegeta sighed, feeling as though he could already foresee his own tragic fate.

"At least you have a conscience," the Guardian smiled faintly, then suddenly changed the subject. "Still, that Piccolo fellow is a good one."

Vegeta paused, noticing that the Guardian's expression was a bit off.

Could it be?

The next moment, Vegeta was pleasantly surprised to find that the Guardian's form had suddenly become clear again.

Vegeta was stunned. What the hell was going on?

Looking closer, he saw that the Guardian had returned to his original appearance, his body even regaining its former color.

"What's going on?" Vegeta wondered, deeply puzzled, and carefully sensed for Piccolo's energy.

Strange. Piccolo's energy had indeed vanished, so why was the Guardian still alive and kicking?

"Let's go. I'll tell you the truth on the way," the Guardian smiled and darted forward.

Although Vegeta was confused, the fact that the Guardian hadn't kicked the bucket was, for him, an incredibly fortunate turn of events.

"When Piccolo was dying, he condensed the essence of his entire being into his son. His son is now hidden in a safe location, and because he's still in an egg, his energy is completely masked," the Guardian explained with a smile.

Vegeta was astonished. So that was it.

A false alarm!

That Demon King Piccolo was truly a decent guy.

"We're almost at the destination. Let's hide our energy quickly so they don't discover us!" Vegeta looked at the position ahead and instructed the Guardian.

The Guardian nodded solemnly.

"By the way, old man, why are you still following me? Demon King Piccolo's son is just an egg now, so how are you going to fuse with him? You should just go back to your Lookout instead of getting in my way," Vegeta glanced at the Guardian, finding him a bit of a burden.

What Vegeta needed were the Dragon Balls, not the man himself.

"You do your thing, I'll just look around," the Guardian smiled, showing no intention of leaving.

Vegeta frowned, feeling that this old man had some ulterior motive.

However, he couldn't be bothered to deal with the Guardian now; he could see that they were getting closer and closer to the location of the Dragon Balls.

As it happened, the place where Vegeta had hidden the Dragon Balls was a chaotic, rocky mountain, making it relatively easy to conceal them and difficult for Ginyu and his men to find.

After flying for a while, Ginyu saw that they were getting closer and closer to Nappa.

Suddenly, Ginyu stopped in mid-air and gazed toward the east.

"Captain, what's wrong?" Jeice asked, puzzled.

"Haven't you noticed? In that direction, there's a guy with a power level of about one hundred. Heh, this person must be a friend of Vegeta's. If we kill him, don't you think Vegeta will be even angrier?" Captain Ginyu smiled broadly, full of confidence.

That Demon King Piccolo was truly a decent guy.

"We're almost at our destination. Let's suppress our energy signatures immediately so we don't get spotted!" Vegeta glanced at the location ahead and instructed the Guardian.

The Guardian nodded with a grave expression.

"By the way, old man, why are you still following me? Demon King Piccolo's son has been reduced to an egg; how are you supposed to fuse with him now? You'd better head back to your Lookout before you become a nuisance at my side." Vegeta looked at the Guardian, feeling that the guy was becoming a bit of a burden.
