The Dragon Ball world, an unknown universe, Planet Vegeta.

On this day, King Vegeta summoned all the mid-class warriors on Planet Vegeta to the Saiyan royal palace at the heart of the planet.

Their purpose was to discuss what to do with an infant.

A Saiyan knelt before the throne and asked humbly, "Your Majesty, forgive my impertinence, but I heard you're sending my son, Broly, to a planet on the frontier?"

"That's right," King Vegeta said from the raised platform.

"B-but, Your Majesty, I heard my son's destination is a planet called Vampa. It's desolate, with absolutely nothing there!"

"Your son has tremendous potential. In the future, he may threaten the safety of our Saiyan race. I'm only exiling him, not taking his life. You should thank me properly, Paragus!"

"What?"

The Saiyan named Paragus stood up, clenching his fists as uncontrollable fury burned within him.

"Damn you, King Vegeta! You're jealous of my son's potential. You're doing this because you're afraid he'll threaten your son's position! You—"

King Vegeta sneered. "So what? By the time we're done talking, your son will already be on his way!"

"What?" Paragus hurried to the window and looked outside.

But there was no sign of any spaceship taking off from the spaceport outside.

Just then, someone suddenly pushed open the door and burst in. "Paragus, don't worry. I stopped Broly's ship."

"You—you are..."

Paragus and the others in the palace stared at the newcomer in astonishment. King Vegeta rose from his throne, his face full of anger. "Lynx! You actually dared to come back!"

The newcomer was Lin Chen—or rather, that was his name in his previous life.

In this life, his name was Lynx, a young Saiyan warrior who was wanted.

The reason was that, after his soul had crossed over and awakened in this life, Lynx had abandoned the mission King Vegeta gave him and disappeared for four whole years!

"Lynx! Four years ago, you disobeyed my orders and fled on your own! And now you dare to come back! Have you come here looking for death?"

Lin Chen gritted his teeth. "I came to warn you! Frieza is coming to wipe out the Saiyans soon. If we don't prepare in advance, all of Planet Vegeta will be destroyed!"

At his words, the room fell silent. The mid-class warriors present gaped at him. Even Paragus looked stunned.

Everyone treated Lin Chen's words as a joke.

As if! The Saiyans were Lord Frieza's right-hand men. Why would Lord Frieza wipe them out?

Lin Chen snorted. The situation was exactly as he had expected. Unless Bardock was here, no one would believe him.

But he had spent four whole years in the Dragon Ball world, hiding his identity out in the wider universe, only to return to Planet Vegeta. He hadn't come here to be laughed at.

"All of you, shut up!" Lin Chen roared. Then he pointed at King Vegeta before the throne. "All Saiyans must obey the king's will! King Vegeta, since I can't convince them, I only need to convince you!"

"By Saiyan tradition, I challenge your right to rule!"

"What?" King Vegeta's eyes widened, certain he'd misheard.

Lin Chen continued, "Everyone knows you're able to hold on to the throne because your grandfather, King Vegeta I, led the Saiyans in conquering the Tuffles and taking over this planet."

"But according to Saiyan tradition, the crown belongs to the strongest!"

"So I challenge you now. If I win, I'll be the new king of the Saiyans!"

As soon as Lin Chen finished speaking, a mid-class warrior leaped forward. "How dare you! Lynx, you actually insulted King Vegeta! Fight me first!"

"Get out of my way! He's the one I'm after!" Lin Chen pointed at King Vegeta. "Or are you afraid to accept my challenge?"

"Fool!"

Veins bulged on King Vegeta's forehead. "Lynx, you're nothing but a low-class warrior, and you dare challenge me? Fine! Very well! I accept! I'll show everyone what happens when you anger King Vegeta!"

"Hah!"

King Vegeta roared, unleashing his full power. He shot up from before the throne like an arrow, flying straight at Lin Chen.

But...

Thud!

Lin Chen stopped King Vegeta's fist with a single finger.

"D-damn it! How is this possible?"

Vegeta's face changed dramatically. He had put all his strength into that punch, yet Lin Chen had stopped it with one finger?

"I-I'm King Vegeta! The king of the Saiyans!"

King Vegeta quickly stepped back, gathered his energy in both hands, and hurled an energy blast at Lynx, pouring all his power into it.

But Lynx flicked it aside with a finger. It veered off course and shot straight through the palace, all the way up into the sky.

Rumble!

The tremendous explosion drew the Saiyans gathered around the palace to look.

"W-why?" King Vegeta stared at Lin Chen in disbelief.

Lin Chen's expression didn't change.

"For these past four years, I've been risking my life for this day. How could a Saiyan like you, who's been sitting comfortably on a throne, possibly compare to me?"

"B-but your battle power...?"

King Vegeta always wore a battle-power Scouter. The Scouter over his left eye had been showing that Lin Chen's battle power was only two thousand.

"That thing can't detect battle power at its peak. I can control my energy now. My true battle power is ten times yours!"

"T-ten times?"

It wasn't just King Vegeta. Everyone else in the room drew in a sharp breath.

If that was true, it was simply astonishing!

A battle power of one hundred thousand?

That would make him the strongest Saiyan by far!

Why did Lin Chen, a mere low-class warrior, have such power?

"N-no way! How could you have a battle power of one hundred thousand? I don't believe it! I absolutely don't believe it..."

As King Vegeta shrieked, Lin Chen suddenly vanished from where he stood. The next moment, he appeared behind King Vegeta.

One punch was all it took to knock King Vegeta unconscious.

As King Vegeta hit the ground, Lin Chen reached out and pulled off the ring-shaped necklace that symbolized the royal crown.

Holding the necklace high, Lin Chen stepped up to the throne that had once belonged to King Vegeta.

"Starting today, I'm the new king of the Saiyans!"

He had been in the Dragon Ball world for four whole years. At last, the moment had come.

Lin Chen knew that at long last, he could begin the final step of his plan: kill Frieza and prevent the destruction of Planet Vegeta!

He had done all this because, when he first arrived in this world, he had been bound to the Strongest Choice System!

The first strongest choice the system gave Lin Chen was as follows:

"Choice One: Defeat Frieza and prevent the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Reward: Legendary Saiyan bloodline."

"Choice Two: Defeat the Supreme Kai. Reward: Supreme Kai's power."

"Choice Three: Defeat the God of Destruction and prevent the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Reward: God of Destruction's power."
