From Today On, I Am King!

Dragon Ball world, unknown universe, Planet Vegeta.

On this day, within the Saiyan royal palace at the heart of the planet, King Vegeta summoned all the mid-level warriors on Planet Vegeta.

Their purpose, however, was to discuss the disposal of an infant.

A Saiyan knelt before the throne and asked humbly, "Your Majesty, please forgive my recklessness, but I heard that you intend to send my son, Broly, to a frontier planet?"

"That is correct," King Vegeta said from atop the high dais.

"B-but Your Majesty, I heard my son's destination is a planet called Vampa. It is a barren wasteland; there is absolutely nothing there!"

"Your son's potential is extremely high, and I fear he will threaten the safety of our Saiyan race in the future. I am merely exiling him rather than taking his life; you should be thanking me, Paragus!"

"What?"

The Saiyan named Paragus stood up, clenching his fists tightly as uncontrollable rage burned within him.

"Damn you, King Vegeta! You are doing this because you are jealous of my son's potential and afraid he will threaten your son's status! You bastard..."

King Vegeta sneered, "And what if I am? Even as we speak, your son is already being sent away!"

"What?" Paragus rushed to the window in a panic to look outside.

Yet, there were no signs of any spacecraft taking off from the launchpads in the universe outside the window.

Just then, a figure suddenly pushed open the doors and burst in: "Paragus, rest easy. I have already intercepted Broly's ship."

"You, you are..."

Paragus and the others in the palace stared at the newcomer in astonishment, and King Vegeta, sitting on the throne, stood up with a look of fury: "Lynx! You actually dare to return!"

The man was named Lin Chen—though that was his name in his previous life.

In this life, his name was Lynx, a young Saiyan warrior who was currently a wanted man.

The reason he was wanted was that after Lynx awakened his memories from his past life, he had abandoned the mission King Vegeta had assigned him and vanished for four years!

"Lynx! Four years ago, you defied my orders and fled! Now you actually dare to return! Are you seeking your own death?"

Lin Chen gritted his teeth and said, "I have come to bring you a warning! Frieza will soon come to annihilate us Saiyans. If we do not prepare early, the entire Planet Vegeta will be destroyed!"

At these words, the room suddenly fell silent. The mid-level warriors present all gaped in shock, and even Paragus wore an expression of utter disbelief.

The next moment, the room erupted in laughter.

Everyone took Lin Chen's words as a joke.

They were joking; they Saiyans were the right-hand men of Lord Frieza. Why would Lord Frieza ever destroy the Saiyans?

Lin Chen snorted coldly. The situation was exactly as he had expected; unless Bardock were here, no one would believe him.

But he had spent four full years in the Dragon Ball world, living under an assumed name in the outside world, only to return to Planet Vegeta—and he hadn't come back just to be mocked.

"Shut your mouths, all of you!" Lin Chen shouted, then pointed at King Vegeta before the throne: "Saiyans must obey the King's decree! King Vegeta, since I cannot convince them, then I only need to convince you!"

"According to Saiyan tradition, I challenge your royal authority!"

"What?" King Vegeta widened his eyes, thinking he had misheard.

Lin Chen said, "As everyone knows, the reason you sit firmly on the throne is because your grandfather, King Vegeta I, led the Saiyans to conquer the Tuffles and occupy this planet."

"But according to our Saiyan tradition, the throne should belong to the strongest!"

"Therefore, I am challenging you now. If I win, I will be the new King of the Saiyans!"

No sooner had Lin Chen finished speaking than a mid-level warrior jumped out: "Audacious! Lynx, you actually dare to disrespect King Vegeta! Fight me first!"

"Get lost! My target is only him!" Lin Chen pointed at King Vegeta, "Or do you dare not accept the challenge?"

"Foolish!"

Veins bulged on King Vegeta's forehead: "Lynx, you mere low-level warrior, you dare to challenge me? Good, very good! I accept your challenge! I will let everyone know the consequences of angering King Vegeta!"

"Hah!"

King Vegeta let out a roar, his energy erupting fully. He flew from the throne like an arrow shot toward Lin Chen.

However...

Bang!

King Vegeta's fist was blocked by a single finger from Lin Chen.

"D-damn it, how is this possible?"

King Vegeta's face changed drastically. He had used his full power for that punch, yet he couldn't even get past Lin Chen's finger?

"I, I am King Vegeta! The King of the Saiyans!"

King Vegeta quickly retreated a step, gathered his energy in both hands, and unleashed an energy blast containing his full power at Lynx.

Yet, with a flick of his finger, Lynx deflected the energy blast, sending it straight through the palace roof and into the sky.

Boom!

The violent explosion drew the attention of the Saiyans surrounding the palace.

"W-why?" King Vegeta stared at Lin Chen in disbelief.

Lin Chen, however, remained expressionless.

"I have been risking my life for the past four years for this very day. How could a Saiyan like you, who has always sat comfortably on the throne, ever compare to me?"

"But, but your combat power...?"

King Vegeta had been wearing a scouter the entire time, and the device over his left eye had consistently shown Lin Chen's combat power to be only two thousand.

"That piece of junk can't detect instantaneous combat power. I have learned to control my ki; my true combat power is ten times yours!"

"10, 10 times?"

It wasn't just King Vegeta; everyone else present gasped in shock.

If this were true, it would be absolutely staggering!

100,000 combat power?

That would undoubtedly make him the strongest warrior among all Saiyans!

How could Lin Chen, who was clearly just a low-class warrior, possess such power?

"No, impossible! How could you possibly have 100,000 combat power! I don't believe it, I absolutely do not believe it..."

Just as King Vegeta shrieked in disbelief, Lin Chen suddenly vanished from where he stood, reappearing behind the King the very next moment.

With a single punch, King Vegeta was knocked unconscious.

As King Vegeta collapsed to the ground, Lin Chen reached out and snatched the circular necklace that symbolized the position of the monarch from his neck.

Lin Chen held the necklace high and walked toward the throne that had originally belonged to King Vegeta.

"From this day forward, I am the new King of the Saiyans!"

Four full years since arriving in the Dragon Ball world! He had finally reached this moment.

Lin Chen knew that from this point on, he could finally begin the final step of his plan: kill Frieza and prevent the destruction of Planet Vegeta!

He was doing all of this because, upon his arrival in this world, he had bound himself to the Strongest Choice System!

And the first set of options the system presented to Lin Chen was as follows:

"Choice One: Defeat Frieza and prevent the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Reward: Legendary Saiyan bloodline."

"Choice Two: Defeat the Supreme Kai. Reward: Power of the Supreme Kai."

"Choice Three: Defeat the God of Destruction and prevent the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Reward: Power of the God of Destruction."
