Return to Planet Vegeta

The elders of the various Namekian villages departed, leaving only the Grand Elder's guard, Nail, behind to keep watch.

Once the elders had left, the frail and aged Grand Elder spoke up: "Young Saiyan, your strength has grown beyond imagination."

"Could it be that in these past five years, you have become a Super Saiyan?"

Super Saiyan? What was that?

Broly looked stunned.

But Lin Chen nodded and said, "Not yet, but I am very close."

"As I thought, making that agreement with you was a wise choice," the Grand Elder sighed with emotion. "If not for you this time, I fear Namek would have suffered a great catastrophe."

"You need not thank me; I am simply fulfilling what I promised you."

Lin Chen said, "I came here today to bid you farewell, Grand Elder. I intend to take Broly back home."

"After I leave, you may summon Shenron once to create a communicator that can reach me at any time."

"Whenever you encounter danger, I can come to save you."

"I understand. Young Saiyan, you are a man of your word. The Namekians will remember your friendship and kindness," the Grand Elder smiled.

Lin Chen chuckled and patted Broly on the shoulder: "Broly, say your goodbyes. You likely won't be returning here for a long time."

Upon hearing this, Broly looked regretful and reluctant to leave.

"Goodbye, Grand Elder. Goodbye, Uncle Nail."

"Goodbye, Broly. Don't forget the training within your heart!" A rare look of reluctance appeared on Nail's face.

He then produced a short flute and handed it to Lin Chen: "This is the Flute of Serenity you had Shenron create. Over the past year, Broly has been able to control his emotions, so I haven't had to use it even once."

"Since he is leaving, we have no use for it. You should take it."

Lin Chen accepted the flute. This Flute of Serenity was a valuable item. Although Broly was loyal to him, the berserk power within the bloodline of a Legendary Saiyan might one day drive him to madness. With this, he at least wouldn't have to worry about the worst-case scenario.

With that done, Lin Chen placed his hand on Broly's shoulder, pressed his index and middle fingers to his brow, and said, "Alright, goodbye everyone."

Whoosh!

The figures of the two Saiyans vanished.

"Nail, notify the elders. Prepare to summon Shenron," the Grand Elder sighed and commanded.

"Grand Elder... you..."

"I have a premonition. Although we avoided this crisis, the danger to Namek will return before long."

The Grand Elder sighed and said, "Lynx was right; we need a tool to summon him at any time."

Hearing this, Nail slowly lowered his head. He wanted to refute the Grand Elder and tell him that he could protect Namek himself.

But thinking of the aliens who had attacked today, Nail knew he had no grounds to argue.

Although he, Nail, was indeed the strongest warrior on Namek, there were far too many powerful beings in this universe.

Planet Vegeta.

Five years ago, relying on the immense power of Shenron, Lin Chen had relocated Planet Vegeta to the edge of the universe.

Though far from the core of the universe, this had granted Planet Vegeta an unprecedented peace.

Five years ago, before preparing to fuse with the Legendary Saiyan bloodline, Lin Chen had returned control of Planet Vegeta to King Vegeta and drafted a five-year plan for the Saiyans.

According to this plan, the Saiyans would spend these five years recuperating, abandoning their past lifestyle of constant warfare, and awaiting the return of Lynx.

During this period, all Saiyans were forbidden from leaving Planet Vegeta to avoid revealing the planet's new location.

Therefore, in Lin Chen's mind, the planet should have been a scene of peace upon his return.

However, to Lin Chen's shock, when he arrived back at Planet Vegeta with Broly, what appeared before him was a scene of desolation.

The sky was shrouded in dark clouds, the earth was parched, the trees had withered, and the ground was littered with the bones of animals. The entire planet seemed to have reached the end of its life, filled with a heavy, dying aura.

"Lynx... Brother Lynx, is Planet Vegeta always like this?"

Broly looked at his surroundings in confusion.

He had been young when he left Planet Vegeta and had no memory of his homeland, assuming it had always been such a barren world.

But Lin Chen knew, of course, that Planet Vegeta was by no means a wasteland like this.

He furrowed his brows, wondering how it had become this way.

Just then, he suddenly sensed an incredibly massive energy signature coming from the distance—from the Saiyan Royal Capital.

This energy was even more powerful than Lin Chen's current strength!

Could it be that Frieza and his forces had already found Planet Vegeta?

No, while the energy was massive, it felt somewhat strange...

At that moment, Broly suddenly pointed in one direction and said, "Brother Lynx, there are many weak energy signatures over there!"

Lin Chen heard this and looked toward that direction, indeed discovering a large number of auras gathered in one spot.

Compared to the terrifyingly vast aura of the royal capital, the auras here were numerous in quantity but low in quality.

"Are those Saiyans? Broly, let's go take a look!"

"Yes, Brother Lynx!"

The two of them immediately flew over.

Along the way, the scene was one of utter desolation.

Damn it, what on earth is going on?

Lin Chen suppressed the anger in his heart and increased his speed.

Before long, the two arrived at the location of those auras.

Yet, looking out, it was nothing but a barren mountain range; there was absolutely nothing there.

"That's strange, Brother Lynx, did we sense it wrong?" Broly asked, puzzled.

"No, follow me!" Lin Chen's lips curled upward, and he suddenly accelerated toward a mountain peak.

With a loud crash, Lin Chen smashed directly into the mountain.

Beneath the mountain, however, was a vast, empty space where many young Saiyans were huddled in a circle under the protection of a few adult female Saiyans, staring in terror at the intruder.

"Hmm?"

Lin Chen had not expected that the majority of the Saiyans present would be children.

Just then, a Saiyan with a gravity-defying hairstyle flew up, shouting, "You guys run! I'll deal with him!"

"Vegeta!"

Hearing the exclamation from the young Saiyans below, Lin Chen's lips curled.

Vegeta in his youth?

Lin Chen did not move, because before Vegeta could land his punch, Broly had already stepped in front of him.

"Insolent!"

Broly easily caught Vegeta's fist, his immense strength forcing Vegeta to grit his teeth.

He had not expected to be suppressed by a child who looked to be about his own age.

"D-damn it! I am the Prince of all Saiyans! Vegeta!"
