Whoosh!
At this moment, a sound of something breaking through the air rang out.
"Who's there?"
Vegeta and Raditz's expressions shifted as they turned their heads to look.
When a familiar figure entered their line of sight, both of them immediately knelt down.
"Vegeta..."
"Raditz..."
"Greetings, Your Majesty!"
"Rise."
Lin Chen replied indifferently, his gaze falling upon Vegeta as he narrowed his eyes slightly.
He hadn't expected that the child Paragus mentioned who had been bothering Broly would turn out to be Vegeta, the second protagonist of the original story.
It was no wonder; among the younger generation, only Vegeta would have the capability to trade a few blows with Broly.
Ever since Lin Chen introduced the training methods from the original story to the Saiyans, many had seen significant improvements in their strength.
As a genius warrior second only to Son Goku in the original timeline, Vegeta had naturally seen his combat power rise considerably thanks to these new training methods.
Today, Vegeta's combat power had even broken through 20,000, making him the youngest Saiyan—aside from Broly—with the potential to surpass 100,000.
However, even so, compared to monsters like Lin Chen and Broly, Vegeta still lagged far behind.
"Vegeta, I have business with Broly. You and Raditz should leave first."
"Um... Your Majesty... may I ask a favor of you?"
Vegeta suddenly stepped forward, looking at Lin Chen with extreme trepidation.
"What is it?"
"Your Majesty Lynx, I... I heard that Broly lived with you for five years and became your disciple. Therefore, I also wish to become your apprentice!" Vegeta said.
"Oh?"
Lin Chen's brows twitched, a look of slight surprise appearing on his face.
He hadn't expected the proud Vegeta to actually want to seek him out as a master.
Could it be that even the arrogant Vegeta had moments where he was swayed by others?
Being able to win over the eternal tsundere from the original story gave Lin Chen a slight sense of secret satisfaction.
He smiled and then said, "Vegeta, you have great potential. In time, you will surely become a powerful warrior. It's just that..."
"I'm sorry, Vegeta, but there is nothing I can teach you."
"Ah?" A look of disappointment immediately appeared on Vegeta's face.
But Lin Chen's next words made him perk up again: "Vegeta, in truth, Broly is not my disciple. The reason he and I are able to become this strong is because of our talent. It is innate; even if you wanted to learn it, you couldn't."
"Talent?"
Vegeta found it hard to believe, for in the past, his father, King Vegeta, had always taught him that he was the king among Saiyans, a natural-born warrior with royal blood flowing through his veins, the most gifted warrior of all.
Yet, he never expected that his talent, compared to Broly's, was not even worth mentioning.
Seeing the look of shock on Vegeta's face, Lin Chen smiled and continued: "But you don't need to be discouraged. No matter how strong talent is, it only determines a person's starting point and growth speed. If you practice diligently, in time, it is not impossible for you to catch up to Broly."
"Really? Can I really catch up to Broly? And what about you? Your Majesty Lynx, can I catch up to you?"
"Perhaps, who knows?" Lin Chen smiled without elaborating.
After offering some encouragement to the future tsundere prince, Lin Chen dismissed the two children.
He then turned his attention to Broly.
Having not seen him for over a month, there was indeed a hint of weariness on Broly's face.
After observing him, Lin Chen didn't overthink it and said, "Broly, why don't you come with me to Earth?"
"Earth?"
"Yes."
Clearly, life on Planet Vegeta was not suitable for Broly.
Ever since Lin Chen left him on Namek for five years, Broly's personality had become completely incompatible with traditional Saiyans.
He was too steady and introverted; although still young, he was already like an old man, his heart as calm as an ancient well regardless of the situation.
But this was for the best; at least Lin Chen didn't have to worry about Broly suddenly going on a rampage one day.
However, since Broly no longer wanted to live on Planet Vegeta, given his personality, it would be better for him to go to Earth.
As it happened, Lin Chen knew someone there who would surely get along with Broly.
Not long after, Lin Chen and Broly suddenly appeared at the Lookout of Kami on Earth.
Looking at the silent palace surroundings, Broly felt a sense of curiosity.
"Kami!" Lin Chen called out.
A moment later, Kami and Mr. Popo walked over.
"Mr. Lin Chen, why have you returned?"
Seeing Lin Chen, Kami began to break into a cold sweat; the pressure the man exerted on him was simply too great.
Before Lin Chen could explain, Broly saw Kami and shouted in surprise, "A Namekian!"
Kami was stunned upon hearing this. "Little one, do you know me?"
"Yeah, aren't you a Namekian? Why are you on Earth?"
"A Namekian? I was a Namekian all along?"
Finally discovering his true origins, Kami felt an unprecedented surge of joy.
So much so that when Lin Chen requested to leave Broly at the Lookout, he agreed without hesitation.
With Kami looking after him, Lin Chen felt at ease regarding Broly.
Since Kami was a Namekian, Broly would not feel like a stranger around him.
Furthermore, Kami and Mr. Popo's indifferent personalities suited Broly perfectly; he was sure to have a pleasant time here.
With that matter settled, Lin Chen had no more worries. He flashed away toward West City to resume his training.
Time flowed by, and in the blink of an eye, over nine months had passed.
"Ding! Congratulations to the host for completing the choice: within one year, ensure over 50 Saiyans have a combat power exceeding 100,000."
"Ding! Congratulations to the host for completing all three choices simultaneously. All rewards are being distributed: 5 vials of S-Cell Serum, one Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and the Junior Martial Arts Genius talent!"
Inside the Gravity Room, which was still set to 50 times gravity, Lin Chen was lying on the floor, fast asleep.
However, as the system's notification chimed, he immediately scrambled up from the floor, fully awake.
"System, my mission is complete?"
"Ding, detection complete. Rewards have been distributed to the System Space. Please check, host."
Lin Chen focused his mind and saw two new items in his System Space: a set of five vials of S-Cell Serum. These cells allowed Saiyans to gain the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan; under normal circumstances, these cells could only grow slowly within Saiyans who lived in peaceful environments.
The other item was a Capsule containing the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
In addition, Lin Chen's skill tab now featured the Junior Martial Arts Genius talent. From now on, whenever someone used their unique techniques in front of him, Lin Chen would have a 30% chance to learn them instantly.
Receiving three rewards at once made this year-long mission well worth the effort.
