After reaching an agreement with the Galactic King, the Saiyans on Planet Vegeta officially became a special military force in the galaxy.
Over the past month, Saiyans who had reached a bottleneck had already begun receiving assignments to take part in peacekeeping operations, helping the Galactic Patrol deal with ferocious enemies they couldn't handle.
Bardock was appointed commander of this force, with full responsibility for liaising with the Galactic Patrol and arranging missions.
Before Lin Chen set off for Earth, he had specifically called Bardock in to check on the Peacekeeping Force.
"Your Majesty, we've carried out three missions this month, and completed every one of them beautifully. As you said, everyone who took part in a mission broke through their limits in battle," Bardock reported.
"Any complaints so far?" Lin Chen asked.
Saiyans had once been conquerors, invaders, and killers.
Now, they had transformed into guardians of peace. Some of them were bound to have trouble adjusting to the change.
But Bardock's answer took Lin Chen by surprise. "Your Majesty, there haven't been many complaints. As far as the people who take part in missions are concerned, as long as they get to fight, that's enough. They don't care what the fighting is for."
Lin Chen thought it over and understood.
Although outsiders had always viewed Saiyans as warlike and naturally short-tempered, not all Saiyans were born evil.
During the last Turles rebellion, those who were evil by nature and unwilling to live in peace had already died at Lin Chen's hands alongside Turles. Most of the Saiyans who remained now were neutral or kind by nature.
The next time he had a chance to visit Otherworld, perhaps he should thank Turles.
Lin Chen smiled faintly and said to Bardock, "All right. Keep an eye on things from now on. But remember to prioritize everyone's safety during every operation. There aren't many Saiyans left. We can't go on throwing away lives like we used to."
Bardock nodded. "Rest assured, Your Majesty. We'll keep that in mind."
Lin Chen nodded, then waved for Bardock to leave.
Bardock had barely left when Hanasia came to see him.
"Your Majesty, are you going to Earth?"
"That's right. Hannah, while I'm away, make sure you spend more time training. Of everyone who ate the Tree of Might's fruit back then, you're the only one whose battle power still hasn't passed five hundred thousand."
Hanasia's pretty face flushed. "Your Majesty, I know~!"
After visiting Earth once, Hanasia had become fascinated with its culture. When she returned to Planet Vegeta, she had secretly brought back a computer loaded with all kinds of TV shows.
While everyone else was training, she had been busy watching shows instead, neglecting her cultivation.
After Lin Chen gave her a scolding, Hannah seemed too embarrassed to back down and said, "Your Majesty, you're not going to Earth for that little girl Tights, are you?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Your Majesty, there's no need to deny it. If you think Tights will do, you can take her in and have her warm your bed. Her younger sister seems interested in you too. I'm sure she'll grow up to be a beauty."
"Your Majesty, didn't you say that the children of Saiyan and Earthling parents are born warriors? If that's true, then as the Saiyan king, shouldn't you lead by example and give us a half-blood child to see?"
Lin Chen was speechless.
"All right, I'll see what I can do if I get the chance. But she has to agree too."
Hanasia giggled. "Why wouldn't she? We may be from different planets, but we're all women. I can tell what those two sisters are thinking at a glance."
Having taken care of his harem and government affairs, it was time for Lin Chen to leave. But just then, someone came to see him again.
"Broly wants to see me?" Lin Chen looked at Paragus in surprise.
"Yes, Your Majesty. The boy seems to have been troubled lately. It seems he doesn't want to stay on Planet Vegeta anymore," Paragus explained.
Broly hadn't had many peaceful days on Planet Vegeta lately.
He had heard that several Saiyan children challenged Broly every few days.
They were no match for Broly, of course, but that didn't stop them from treating him like the perfect sparring partner.
Every time Broly beat them half to death, they would rest in a Healing Tank for a few days, then come back full of energy to challenge him again.
Since this helped the children improve their strength, Bardock, King Vegeta, and the others hadn't stopped them.
But Broly was getting annoyed.
His life now was completely different from what it had been on Namek. Broly was mild-mannered by nature and didn't like this life at all. He had complained to his father about it several times.
In this life, Paragus hadn't been banished, so his personality hadn't become twisted. He loved Broly as a father, without any desire to use him.
Seeing his son troubled all the time, he couldn't help seeking Lin Chen's help.
A Saiyan who wasn't used to life on Planet Vegeta?
Lin Chen replied, "All right. Let's go see him."
At that moment, on a lush green hill on the outskirts of the capital,
a simple little house stood alone halfway up the slope.
The house looked nothing like Saiyan architecture. It was more like a Namekian building.
It was Broly's home.
He disliked the noisy, competitive Saiyans, so not long after returning to Planet Vegeta, Broly had left the capital and moved here by himself. He rarely went back to the capital unless Lin Chen needed him.
But today, two young Saiyans stood outside Broly's house.
"Hey, Broly! Get out here! Let's fight again! I'll show you that I'm the second-strongest Saiyan after His Majesty Lynx—not you!"
"Vegeta, let's just go. Broly's already beaten you four times..."
"Raditz, leave if you want! I'm going to settle this with Broly once and for all! Broly, quit pretending you can't hear me. I know you're in there!"
"If you don't come out, I'll destroy this place!"
As he spoke, the child Vegeta began gathering energy in his palms. It looked as though he really meant to attack.
Just then, the little house, which had been silent until now, finally opened, and Broly stepped outside.
"Vegeta, I don't want to compete with you. Whether you become the second-strongest or the strongest Saiyan doesn't concern me. Please don't disturb my life."
"How can I not? You're the only one among the younger generation I can't beat. If I can't surpass you, how am I supposed to surpass His Majesty Lynx? Broly, come on, fight me!"
