When artificial moons filled the sky above Planet Vegeta,
waves of Blutz Waves shot toward the ground.
Blutz Waves were a special energy produced during a full moon. Saiyans' eyes could absorb this unique wavelength, which only existed under a full moon, and trigger a change in their tails, completing a transformation known as the Great Ape Transformation.
Now, as the three moons in the sky reflected in the eyes of the Saiyans below, their bodies began to swell, and their Battle Suits slowly stretched to accommodate them.
Wild, ferocious, powerful auras poured from the Saiyans.
Their tails began to grow longer. Regardless of their sex, their heads grew dramatically, and their teeth sharpened like those of wild beasts.

"Y-yes, I understand, Mr. Zarbon!" Dodoria nodded and immediately issued an order. "Hurry! Send the soldiers aboard the ships into battle. Stop those wild monkeys!"
While Dodoria hurriedly gave the order, Zarbon turned to the emperor Frieza, who sat behind him in a small hover pod. "My lord, it looks like the Saiyans were prepared for this. I'm afraid your plan has been exposed."
"Oh-ho-ho-ho! They're just a bunch of stinking monkeys. If they think this is enough to deal with me, they're far too naive!" Frieza said with a disdainful laugh.
It was true that transforming into Great Apes increased the Saiyans' battle power tenfold!
But even so, they were no match for him, with his battle power of 530,000.
Frieza watched events unfold with a beaming smile, utterly unconcerned.
However, the proud emperor of the universe soon had those Great Apes knocking him down a peg.

Grinding his teeth and forcing down his anger, Frieza said, "Tch! A bunch of useless trash!"
"My lord, the Saiyans' battle power increases tenfold when they transform into Great Apes. There are at least a hundred of them out there. Even the Ginyu Force would have trouble dealing with that kind of strength," Zarbon warned quietly.
"I know! Those damned monkeys! Fine, then—I'll send every last one of them to hell!" Frieza's smile slowly faded. He rose into the air and flew straight out through the top of the spaceship.
"You bunch of wild monkeys should have stayed on Planet Vegeta and turned into stars along with it. But no, you had to come all this way just to become space dust!"
A cruel smile curled Frieza's lips as he drifted out of the spaceship and hovered in space.
Right in front of him, the enormous army of Great Apes was closing in fast.
Frieza raised one finger and began to gather energy, when suddenly—
"Frieza!"
A furious shout rang out behind him.
He turned and saw an untransformed Saiyan standing atop the spaceship.
That Saiyan was none other than Lin Chen!
While all the other Saiyans had transformed into Great Apes, Lin Chen had used them as cover to sneak close to Frieza's spaceship.
On Namek, Lin Chen had gained more than a simple increase in battle power.
He had also completely mastered the Namekians' control over ki.
So when the Frieza Force's attention was drawn to the Great Apes and their overwhelming energy, no one noticed Lin Chen, who had deliberately suppressed his own ki, quietly making his way toward the spaceship.
And Lin Chen had done all of this for this very moment.
While Frieza was momentarily stunned, Lin Chen shifted his gaze to the artificial moons above Planet Vegeta.

"Ding! Congratulations, host. You have completed the first option. Reward: Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline. Would you like to fuse with the bloodline now?"
The long-absent system voice rang out in Lin Chen's mind.

Finally, after spending a full four years, he had accomplished this seemingly impossible mission. With a mere 100,000 battle power, he had defeated Frieza, the emperor of the universe!
