Zuno's Answer

"What do we do?" Jaco was at a loss.

"Simple."

Lin Chen smiled and stepped forward. "I have an appointment. Let me see Zuno."

"You?" Zuno's attendant froze for a moment, then flipped through his book. "What's your name? I'll check."

"Lin Chen! My Saiyan name is Lynx."

"Lin Chen? Lynx?" The attendant checked carefully, then said regretfully, "Sorry, you're not on the appointment list..."

Before he could finish, a golden light suddenly flared before him.

The next moment, Lin Chen transformed into a Super Saiyan and fired a ki blast out into the corridor.

"Ridiculous. Zuno Planet is protected by Lord Zuno's power. You couldn't possibly cause any damage to the planet..."

Rumble!

The ki blast slammed into a distant forest, tore through the ground, and shot straight out the other side of Zuno Planet.

At the sight, all the guards and guests stared wide-eyed, their noses running.

"May I ask if you've found my name?"

"Y-yes! I found it! Lin Chen, right? Please come in!"

The guests who had been waiting in line immediately moved to either side, clearing a path for Lin Chen.

"Let's go." Lin Chen didn't return to his normal form. With his golden hair still shining, he headed deeper into the corridor.

Tights was about to follow, but Jaco stopped her.

"Tights, is that a Super Saiyan?"

"Yeah! Don't you think it's cool? His hair can even turn gold! Lin Chen said it could turn yellow-green, red, and blue in the future, too!"

Then she glanced at Jaco and said, "You're not thinking of arresting him for causing trouble just now, are you?"

Jaco hurriedly shook his head. "Of course not! We're comrades, after all. Hahaha!"

Before long, they arrived at a great hall deep inside the building. A man dressed like a Japanese samurai sat atop a flying craft shaped like a bowl.

He was Zuno, the master of this planet.

Beside Zuno, an attendant was whispering to him, evidently reporting what had happened outside.

As Lin Chen entered, Zuno immediately put on a stern expression. "Are you the one who broke the rules and barged in?"

"What, do you have a problem with that?" Lin Chen asked.

Zuno didn't answer. Instead, he gazed ahead and put on an air of mystery.

Then another attendant standing beside him spoke up. "Present your offering!"

Zuno's demands for offerings were actually quite modest. A single kiss was enough to earn one answer, and if the offering was a beautiful woman, he might answer even more questions.

But Lin Chen was the mighty King of the Saiyans. There was no way he'd do something so undignified.

"What counts as an offering? This?" Lin Chen raised a finger, and a Planet Destroyer Bomb coalesced in his hand.

It was one of Frieza's strongest techniques, and the power it contained could easily destroy a planet.

As someone with mysterious powers, Zuno immediately recognized how dangerous the attack was. He nodded frantically. "That's enough, that's enough! You can ask one... No, three... No, ask as many questions as you want!"

"Good!" Lin Chen flicked his hand and crushed the Planet Destroyer Bomb.

"Then listen carefully. My question is: how do you travel to a parallel timeline?"

Zuno cleared his throat and began explaining like he was reciting a sutra. "There are several ways to travel to a parallel timeline."

"First, use a Time Machine. In theory, Time Machines don't actually exist. Every time one is used, the traveler is actually going to a parallel timeline."

"Second, become a Supreme Kai and use a Time Ring reserved for Supreme Kais. When different parallel timelines are created, green Time Rings appear. Using the corresponding ring allows you to reach different parallel timelines."

Before Zuno could finish, Lin Chen interrupted him. "Wait!"

"Zuno, I want to know how to get to a specific parallel timeline!"

Lin Chen realized that perhaps he'd phrased his question poorly. Zuno's answer wasn't what he wanted to know.

"In the parallel timeline I want to visit, a Legendary Super Saiyan conquered the entire South Galaxy! I want to know how to reach that timeline."

Zuno paused, then replied, "Is the Legendary Super Saiyan in that timeline you mentioned named Broly?"

"You even know that?"

Lin Chen was astonished. He hadn't expected Zuno to know even that.

"Of course I know. My vast knowledge comes from a special ability, something like the Great Prophecy. As long as something exists in this world, there's nothing I can't know," Zuno replied.

"Impressive!"

Lin Chen was genuinely impressed by this odd-looking fellow.

"Can you answer my question now?"

"Of course. There are two ways to reach the timeline you described."

"First, get help from Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time. The Supreme Kai of Time governs all parallel timelines. She can observe and freely enter every one of them."

"But as an aside, the Supreme Kai of Time exists beyond all universes and outside the Omni-King's control. Unless the Supreme Kai of Time summons you, there's no way for a mortal to meet her."

Lin Chen then asked, "What's the second way?"

"The second way..." Zuno had only just begun when he suddenly seemed to choke up, and his body began to convulse.

Zuno's guards had never seen him like this before. They rushed forward in alarm, but Zuno raised a hand, signaling them not to approach.

"The second way... The second method is to find Tamulespes Metal!"

"Tamulespes Metal? What is that?" Lin Chen asked.

"It's an extremely rare metal in the universe, also known as Time Metal. The Supreme Kais' Time Rings are made from it! As an aside, this metal has already become extinct in our universe."

"That's not a problem. I can have Shenron create some. What do I do after finding it?" Lin Chen continued.

Zuno replied, "Having Time Metal is the first step. Next, you need to take it to a place abundant in spacetime, where the power of spacetime can flow into the Time Metal."

"Um..."

Before Lin Chen could ask, Zuno continued, "A black hole is a place abundant in spacetime. To channel the power of spacetime into the Time Metal, you throw it into a black hole."

"That's all it takes?" Lin Chen frowned. The method didn't sound reliable at all.

Zuno nodded. "That's right. But in fact, this can only open a Gate of Time and Space. It can't control which timeline the gate leads to."

"However!" Zuno suddenly said with a grave expression, "My ability tells me that if a Saiyan named Lynx does this, he'll be able to open a path to a specific timeline."
