Bardock II

"Hoo..."

Feeling a trace of exhaustion—after all, that power had not been his own—Bardock landed lightly on the ground, half-sitting as he slowly caught his breath.

"Are you alright, Bardock!"

As Bardock deflected the energy sphere, the surrounding Saiyans quickly reacted, crowding around him one by one.

"What on earth happened? What was that energy blast just now!?"

"Bardock!"

At this moment, Gine rushed over from a distance, supporting Bardock with a look of concern on her face.

"I'm fine, don't worry."

After offering a word of comfort, Bardock looked at the surrounding Saiyans and said calmly.

"That was an energy sphere fired by Frieza. His goal is to annihilate us Saiyans."

"What!? How is that possible!?"

Instantly, following Bardock's answer, voices filled with terror erupted.

"What about the King? Where are King Vegeta and those elite warriors? Why haven't they appeared?"

Along with the fear, some Saiyans began to voice their doubts.

"Lord Bardock, is it really as you said before? Did he truly gather us all here just to wipe us out?"

The speaker was a young warrior.

"That's right! And the facts are already clear."

Bardock looked at the man before him; he was the young warrior who had returned with Bardock earlier.

"If it weren't for that power just now..."

Thinking of the immense energy he had felt coursing through his body, Bardock slowly fell into deep thought.

Meanwhile, far up in the sky, Frieza wore an expression of uncertainty and shock.

"This is!!"

Watching his energy sphere being deflected, Frieza's face darkened.

"Could it be that guy has already reached Planet Vegeta?"

With this question in mind, Frieza returned to his spaceship.

By now, the energy sphere had flown into the distance, and upon colliding with an unknown planet, a massive explosion erupted.

"Reporting, Lord Frieza. Captain Ginyu's ship has arrived, but according to the scanners, there is no energy signature on board."

"Furthermore, we have attempted to contact Captain Ginyu's ship, but there is no response from anyone."

Watching Frieza return to the command center, an aide hurriedly reported.

"So that's how it is."

Frieza's face remained grim, but he then gave a slight smile and ordered.

"No matter, this just makes the game more interesting. Pass the order: land the ship. We are going down to Planet Vegeta."

"Understood, Lord Frieza."

As the ship descended, the number of Saiyans gathering below continued to grow.

"Damn it, it really is Frieza."

Watching Frieza's ship appear in the sky, a long-haired Saiyan standing next to Bardock gritted his teeth and cursed in frustration.

"What about King Vegeta? Have you found him?"

Nearby, a muscular, bald Saiyan was frantically contacting the Saiyans at Vegeta Palace via radio.

"Nothing. There's no one here. It's not just King Vegeta; all the elite warriors are gone too."

Hearing the voice in his ear, the bald Saiyan couldn't help but curse aloud.

"Bastards, damn it all! Where have King Vegeta and the others gone?"

"Forget about them, Nas. Frieza is coming out."

At this, Bardock, having recovered his strength, stood back up and stared solemnly at the spacecraft hovering in the air.

"Frieza!"

As they watched the ship, the hatches opened, and alien soldiers of the Frieza Army flew out one by one.

Above the ship, a short alien appeared, seated in a small hovering pod.

This alien had his arms crossed over his chest, blood-red eyes, purple-black lips, and a pair of sharp horns on his head. Beneath his eyes were two lines resembling blood-stained tears. This was Frieza.

"Frieza!"

Looking at the man before him, Bardock's expression turned ugly. Suppressing his rage, he stepped forward.

"Don't be impulsive, Bardock!"

Watching Bardock prepare to charge forward again, Gine hurriedly held him back.

"Wait and see what he has to say first."

In the sky, Frieza looked down at Planet Vegeta, where all the Saiyans had gathered.

Surveying the Saiyans surrounding him, Frieza let out a laugh.

"Oh ho ho, what an honor. To receive such a grand welcome."

"Frieza, what exactly are you trying to say!"

However, the surrounding Saiyans were not pleased by Frieza's words; instead, they wore grim expressions and spoke in cold tones.

"The energy ball you fired earlier nearly destroyed our planet. How do you even have the nerve to show your face before us now?"

Seeing the cold attitude of the Saiyans, Frieza did not get angry; instead, he said with amusement, "That was just a greeting gift. Why can't you people appreciate it?"

As he spoke, Frieza wore an expression of interest and continued, "Alright, enough idle chatter! I want to know who caught my energy sphere earlier. I am quite interested in them. If anyone reveals that person's name, I might consider sparing their life and letting them rejoin our Frieza Army!"

Having said that, Frieza flashed a playful smile.
