Time passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye, eight years had gone by.

During these eight years, following the mysterious disappearance of Kast, many significant events occurred on Planet Vegeta.

The first was the resurrection of Frieza. Yes, Frieza had not died in that battle against Kast, though his appearance had changed drastically. While Kast had merely lost an arm and suffered a few broken ribs, Frieza's injuries were far more severe; not only were his arm and leg severed, but a portion of his skull was missing as well.

Yet, despite such horrific injuries, Frieza clung to life with his tenacious vitality. He was eventually found by his father, King Cold, whose spaceship utilized advanced technology to replace his missing limbs and restore him to life.

The second event was Bardock and the other Saiyans discovering the corpse of King Vegeta aboard Frieza's ship.

Indeed, King Vegeta's mysterious disappearance during the previous battle was no mystery at all—he had been murdered by Frieza long ago, along with several other high-level warriors.

As for why this happened, it was likely that King Vegeta had sensed the impending danger and led his subordinates to confront Frieza, only to be wiped out.

The third event was the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Yes, the planet could not escape its fate of annihilation.

However, the destruction of Planet Vegeta occurred four years after the battle between Kast and Frieza, which also happened to be the day Bardock's second son, Kakarot, was born.

Having remained vigilant since the previous incident, Bardock had prepared in advance, launching Kakarot toward a distant, remote planet—Earth—just before Frieza's attack.

Bardock himself vanished during the subsequent battle against Frieza.

Yes, he vanished; he did not die. Although Bardock's combat power had become immense after years of training, he was still far from being a match for Frieza without the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan.

Thus, after clashing energy waves with Frieza, he mysteriously disappeared.

As for Vegeta, upon learning of his father's death, he showed no signs of grief. He returned to Planet Vegeta with Raditz and others, intending to inherit the throne.

However, due to Bardock's brilliant performance in the previous war, the people refused to support Vegeta's succession, especially since Vegeta's combat power was inferior to Bardock's at the time.

Given these factors, the Saiyans on Planet Vegeta pushed for Bardock to become King.

Bardock had no such ambition, but the situation left him with no choice. He eventually conceded, stating he would step down once Vegeta reached a certain age.

To the prideful Vegeta, this was an undeniable humiliation. In a fit of rage, he took his subordinates and left Planet Vegeta for other worlds.

Raditz, however, was left behind by Vegeta.

Raditz did not want to stay on Planet Vegeta, as Bardock was only a placeholder king who intended to abdicate once Vegeta matured.

Since he could not yet become a prince, he felt it would be better to track Vegeta down and become his right-hand man.

Bardock was well aware of his son's intentions and even tacitly allowed him to leave. On one hand, it fulfilled Raditz's wishes; on the other, it allowed him to use Raditz to send messages to Vegeta, making it easier to contact him to return and claim the throne once he had grown.

Yet, plans could not keep up with changes. Frieza had not died, and four years later, he returned to Planet Vegeta and destroyed it.

Because of Kast's absence, even Bardock, who had trained for years, could not resist Frieza, whose power had increased further after his resurrection.

This ultimately led to the destruction of Planet Vegeta.

As for why it took Frieza so long to return and exact his revenge, it was because, still shaken by the previous battle, he had made thorough preparations after his resurrection.

Combined with the time it took to be found, the recovery period needed after his restoration, and the time spent gathering intelligence on Kast, it took Frieza four years to return to Planet Vegeta to carry out his vengeance.

Fate is a cruel jester.

This was Kast's inner thought. Upon learning of the events that had transpired on Planet Vegeta, he could not help but suspect that this world was governed by a destiny that could not be defied. No matter how much he changed things, the results only shifted in the details, while the major events remained entirely unaltered.

However, since the events had already come to pass, there was nothing Kast could do to change them.

Since Frieza was still alive, and Kakarot—the future Son Goku—had been born and sent to Earth to survive, he would simply have to wait for Son Goku to deal with Frieza in the future.

And so, another four years passed, bringing things to the present.
