Background / History

Li Bo enters the Script Murder Experience Hall after receiving an invitation card. Styling himself an “old hand” at Script Murder, he introduces himself as “Brother Bo,” flaunts a thick gold chain, and says he may buy a membership if the venue is enjoyable. He immediately looks down on the inexperienced student Wang Shaohui. 2

Once transported into the first Script World, Li Bo initially insists that the supernatural events are an elaborate prank. He receives a stack of Underworld Banknotes rather than a weapon or protective-looking item, provoking an angry outburst. 3 His refusal to accept the situation leads him to seize a hand emerging from a coffin, believing it belongs to a staff member; the zombie-like occupant traps his wrist and drags part of his arm inside. 4

Desperate to escape, Li Bo promises Xu Tong his Underworld Banknote in return for help, then ambushes Xu Tong with the borrowed short blade once freed. Xu Tong survives the stabbing and retaliates by severing Li Bo's hand. Xu Tong subsequently bandages the wound and forces the terrified Li Bo to accompany him. 4 5

Li Bo is an obese man with a fleshy face and considerable physical bulk. He favors conspicuous accessories and casual clothing.

Personality

Li Bo begins as boastful, impatient, status-conscious, and dismissive of people he considers beneath him. He is especially harsh toward Wang Shaohui and assumes the Script World is merely a staged attraction, even after the group is transported into the graveyard. 2 3

Fear repeatedly strips away his bravado. After Xu Tong severs his hand, Li Bo becomes highly obedient around him, referring to him as “Brother Xu” and avoiding any further open defiance. He remains greedy and easily distracted by food or valuables, but learns caution: when the old man offers gold bars, Li Bo resists openly taking the bribe because he recognizes Xu Tong's lack of interest in the money. 5 6 11

Beneath his cowardice, Li Bo can be stubborn and protective of his own survival. He fights the Paper Dolls despite being badly outmatched, defies Zhong Nan while being strangled by the Paper Control Technique, and worries about his mother if he dies in the Script World. 8 10 12
