Background / History

Yang Zixuan led a farming team that recruited and exploited inexperienced Script World players as “Livestock.” He considered obedient rookies the ideal targets: easy to control, unlikely to rebel, and profitable. His team’s Script Point distribution was heavily unequal, with Yang taking 60%, Xiong Tao 25%, and Zhang Hu receiving the remaining 15% 28 32.

After Zhou Huasheng’s group arrived at the Forest Farm seeking the Golden Dagger, Yang suspected Chen Shaoguo—Xu Tong’s identity in the Script World—of being a player. He ordered Zhang Hu to test and recruit him, stating that it was better to kill an innocent person than let a potential target escape 26.

Xu Tong’s deliberately timid behavior convinced Yang that he was a controllable newcomer. Yang accepted his Deerskin Jacket as a greeting gift, assigned him the rank of “Number Four,” and promised him a fair share of the team’s gains 28.

Personality

Yang Zixuan is calculating, profit-driven, and highly confident in his ability to assess people. He values strength and obedience, viewing weaker players as assets to exploit rather than equals 28.

His confidence collapses when Xu Tong reveals that his cowardly persona was an act and kills Zhang Hu. Yang becomes obsessed with proving that he had not completely misjudged Xu Tong, responding with fury and disbelief 34 37.

Negotiation with Xu Tong

After Xu Tong and his allies incapacitate Xiong Tao, Yang chooses negotiation over revenge. He offers Xu Tong a high team rank, Script Points, Prop Cards, and a non-aggression pact to recover his teammate 39.
