Background / History

Mad Dog is an experienced player in the Script World games, possessing a heightened sense of smell that allows him to track people and recognize unique scents 22 23. He first encounters Xu Tong in the lobby of the Script Murder Experience Hall prior to entering a forest-themed script 20. Inside the Script World, he approaches Xu Tong for cooperation, warning him against rival teams and trading a rare Temporary Boost Potion to secure an alliance 22 23.

After being severely wounded during an ambush by the Golden Dagger's defender, Mad Dog is stitched up by Xu Tong—who famously botches the operation by embroidering Peppa Pig into his skin 24 25. He later fakes his death after being stabbed by Xu Tong to evade hostile players, subsequently operating from the shadows 25 35.

It is eventually revealed that Mad Dog is secretly allied with the local Miao tribe under the name Huo Ying, holding a main quest directly opposed to the other players 40 41. He ambushes Xu Tong's group, reveals his true werewolf nature, and later forces the surviving players to act as pathfinders to explore the legendary Ascension Bureau 40 41 42.
