Background / History

Zhou Wei served the Great Feng Dynasty as its General of the Nation during a period of drought, border unrest, plague, and Demonic Cult activity. He regarded martial strength as essential to survival in the coming chaos and worried that his younger son, Zhou Cheng, possessed only ordinary martial talent. 2

When the Mongol Kingdom caused trouble at the border, Zhou Wei departed with the army after placing Chang Qing in charge of supervising Zhou Cheng's training and household conduct. 5 7 During the campaign, the Demonic Cult's Four Great Dharma Kings infiltrated his camp to assassinate him. Dharma King Yindu pierced his Emperor-bestowed armor and badly injured his heart meridians, though Zhou Wei avoided a fatal blow and survived after Qin Meng secretly intervened. 11

His damaged heart meridians prevented a full recovery through ordinary medical treatment and ended his ability to return to the battlefield.
