Yu Kun initially hoped the Nine Cauldrons Immortal Sect could recruit promising geniuses such as Long Ao, Ice Peak, and Feng Cailing. 362 When Zhou Cheng's immortal-root test surpassed eighty, Yu Kun used Spatial Blink to reach the testing site immediately. 365

After Zhou achieved full affinity, Yu Kun treated him with extraordinary warmth and asked him to become his disciple. Zhou accepted, becoming Yu Kun's personal disciple. 366 367 Yu Kun subsequently gave Zhou cultivation resources and prepared him for the Immortal Sect Tournament. 369
