Background / History

Little Ox first appears as a waist-high purple calf living alone in an ethereal valley containing a Chaos Spirit Tree. He warmly approaches Zhou Cheng, leads him around the valley, and brings him to the tree. 418

After Zhou Cheng spends more than a century cultivating in the valley's sea of chaos spiritual energy, the formerly silent ox begins speaking. He jokingly explains that “even an ox has to grow up,” calls himself Big Ox, and reveals that his small body is not his true form. He has been secluded long enough that Chaos City did not exist during his previous time outside. 422 429

Little Ox takes Zhou Cheng to Crouching Dragon Mountain, where he directs him toward the Dragon Clan progenitor's inheritance. He stresses that the mountain's treasures belong only to those with the necessary fate, then forces Zhou Cheng into the sealed tunnel to attempt the inheritance. 424
