Gohan returned, and Videl stared at him in shock. The moment she saw him, she hurried over.
Her face was full of concern. "Gohan, you were amazing! Are you hurt? You scared me to death just now."
"I thought you didn't care about your life when you suddenly charged in there!"
Videl looked worried. When she saw Gohan rush into that ball of energy, she had almost cried out.
Piccolo, standing nearby, was worried too. He hadn't expected Gohan to be so reckless!
That had been Vegeta's Final Flash, after all. Gohan had been lucky to find a way to absorb Vegeta's attack and unleash the Ultimate Perfect Kamehameha.
Piccolo said sternly, "Gohan, that move just now was far too dangerous. Even if you can absorb energy and ki to use for yourself,"
"controlling an ability like that must take a lot out of you. Don't be so reckless next time. Vegeta has plenty more power than that!"
Gohan understood, of course. Vegeta had been arrogant and careless this time, which was why he had taken the Ultimate Perfect Kamehameha head-on!
Someone else, like Buu, would have dodged it in an instant!
If Gohan missed his target, he'd be in serious trouble.
Gohan nodded, agreeing with Piccolo.
"Yeah. My power still isn't enough to completely overpower Vegeta. I haven't reached his level yet, so absorbing his energy really was risky!"
"That's why I decided to take a gamble. It worked out pretty well!"
It had indeed worked out well. He'd completed the Ultimate Perfect Kamehameha and earned a draw.
That made two draws now. He wondered what he'd get from them and could hardly wait to find out.
After a bit of exercise, he was hungry, so he took Videl's packed lunch. As he ate, he used both draws.
He used the two draws and received two abilities!
"Successful draw! Obtained Logia Fruit, Goro Goro no Mi. Use Rumble Power!"
"Successful draw! Obtained Hidden Weapon Mastery. Using hidden weapons will enhance their abilities!"
Of the two rewards, Hidden Weapon Mastery was practically useless. The Logia Fruit, however, was useful.
Using Rumble Power would let him transform his entire body into lightning and evade ordinary physical attacks.
Of course, that wasn't much use in the Dragon Ball world!
Evading ordinary physical attacks didn't mean he could evade attacks combining energy and ki!
Vegeta and Kakarot, for instance, infused their attacks with their own ki. So the power of a Logia Fruit was really only a supplementary ability.
Did he think he could use a Logia Fruit to fight monsters who could destroy planets and had hundreds of millions in battle power?
How could that be possible!
Gohan only felt that the skill could raise his battle power. By strengthening the Goro Goro no Mi's power to 100%, he would gain Rumble Power.
It could still boost his battle power by more than 20%!

Over the next two days,
aside from accompanying Videl to class, he trained his Ultra Instinct. After getting it to 1.5%,
just two more days of training brought it up to 1.8%, only a little short of 2%.
His battle with Vegeta had taught him a lot. Saiyans really were battle maniacs. As long as they fought, they could keep getting stronger.
Over those two days, he had planned to train the two abilities he'd obtained to 100% and earn two more draws.
But he discovered that Hidden Weapon Mastery was hard to train because there were too few kinds of hidden weapons.
That made the ability difficult to train. The only one he could work on was the Logia Fruit!
But in two days, he'd only reached 50%. Without a training partner, progress was just too slow.
He even considered finding Vegeta again and having another fight to push himself. Maybe he'd come up with another Ultimate move.
As he was thinking about it, Videl flew over from not far away. She had already learned the Flight Technique.
She dropped down from the sky and waved at Gohan, brimming with enthusiasm.
Now that they were a couple, they were even closer than before.
Videl was clingy with Gohan like a girlfriend, and she came over whenever she had a reason—or even when she didn't.
Gohan didn't mind at all. Having someone make him lunch and look after him was great.
The only downside was that Videl's father was strict. She had to be home on time every night, which was a real nuisance.

"My dad plans to enter the World Martial Arts Tournament. It's the same Martial Arts Tournament as before, and it's about to begin. Martial artists from all over the world will be there. You'll go too, right?"

He smiled at once. "Really? That's great. Since the Martial Arts Tournament is coming up, I can let my father know."
"My father will definitely be interested!"
Videl looked curious. Hearing Gohan, she asked in confusion, "Gohan, your dad—wasn't he dead?"
"How can you let your dad know?"
Gohan said calmly, "No. Hell exists in this world. My father may not be among the living, but he's definitely training in Hell right now."
"Come to think of it, I could ask Fortuneteller Baba to let him know. I remember she and Master Roshi are siblings!"
With that in mind, he planned to find Master Roshi and then get in touch with Fortuneteller Baba to contact his father.
Videl was interested too and wanted to go with him.
But Gohan didn't want to take Videl to meet Master Roshi. That lecherous old man might touch her, and if he did, Gohan would turn him to dust before he could think twice.
So he told Videl to wait while he went to contact Fortuneteller Baba through Master Roshi.
Once he told Kakarot about the Martial Arts Tournament, his father would definitely rush back from Hell.
Gohan launched himself forward and flew off.
Videl waved both hands. As Gohan left, she called after him,
"Gohan, I'll be waiting for you!"
Gohan took off, quickly turning into a streak of light as he flew toward the little house by the sea where Master Roshi lived.
He was so fast that it took less than a moment.
In about two minutes, he spotted Master Roshi's place.
Just as he was about to approach, he suddenly noticed someone moving toward him. The ki felt familiar, and at first he thought it was Krillin.
But to his surprise, it was Android 18!
Android 18 was clearly in a bad mood because of Krillin.
She had come specifically to see Krillin and find out what the little human who wanted to pursue her was up to.
She had been wondering whether to give him a chance, but then she found him tangled up with his ex-girlfriend. Annoyed, Android 18 had left without even saying hello.
The cool, aloof Android 18 had no intention of competing with anyone.
She'd wait until Krillin broke up with his ex, Marron, first!
But before she could leave, she spotted someone—Gohan. Seeing him made her pause, especially when she sensed his ki.
Her brow furrowed. She couldn't shake the feeling that Gohan was different from before.
She had intended to pass him by, but stopped in her tracks.
Android 18 blocked Gohan's path, making him stop too. He looked at her in confusion.
"Android 18, what are you doing here? Did you come to see Krillin?"
At the mention of Krillin, Android 18's pretty face grew even more displeased. She gritted her teeth and said,
"Don't be ridiculous. Why would I go see that little shrimp? He and his ex-girlfriend are having a grand old time talking. I have no interest in getting involved!"
Krillin was still quite the ladies' man, unable to let go of his ex-girlfriend. Otherwise, he wouldn't have named his daughter after her.
But now he had angered Android 18. Gohan silently mourned Krillin's lost chance.
Android 18 studied Gohan, and this time, she really was interested—not romantically, of course.
She could tell he was strong, and a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.
"Gohan, I haven't seen you in years, but I can tell you've gotten stronger. With your current strength, you can completely match me, can't you?"
"I thought you'd gotten weaker after going off to school. I never expected you to have gotten so much stronger!"
Gohan laughed. "I've been training, so I've gotten quite a bit stronger."
Android 18 looked him over again. This time, she said nothing and instead rushed straight at him.
She threw a punch!
The sudden punch was obviously a test. But in Gohan's eyes, Android 18 was nowhere near as strong as Vegeta.
Even caught off guard, he casually shifted his body.
Her fist grazed past him, which only piqued Android 18's interest. The corner of her mouth lifted.
She continued attacking Gohan without pause.
Android 18 had always enjoyed fighting!
More accurately, she was in a bad mood after Krillin stood her up and wanted to blow off some steam. When she saw Gohan,
