But how had he ended up inside this Space Capsule?

He was wearing the Saiyans' distinctive Battle Suit, and there was a tail on his backside...

"[Ding! Congratulations, host. You have obtained one Great Ape Transformation!]"
As soon as the system finished speaking, a terrifying force erupted from Luya's body. The next moment, the entire Space Capsule shook, cracks spreading across it!
Seeing this, Luya quickly reined in his ki. Damn, a hundred million battle power right off the bat—he was practically a rich man! It was almost embarrassing!
"System, am I in the Saiyans' Age of Age 737?" Luya asked curiously.
"No, host. You are currently in the Dragon Ball Super era," the system replied flatly.
Luya's expression stiffened. Then his eyes widened. "What? You're not kidding, are you?"
"I'm not joking. Although the host currently has a battle power of 100 million, he is not the strongest. Many people are more powerful than you, such as Sun Wukong, Vegeta, and..."
Luya: "..."
"Host, the Space Capsule you are currently riding in is headed for Earth."
Luya felt relieved. That was good. If he'd been sent to some unknown planet, he'd have been in a real mess.
Then a thought occurred to him. "Since we're already in the Dragon Ball Super storyline, has the Martial Arts Tournament started yet?"

Piccolo looked at Luya. The moment he saw Luya's outfit and tail, his expression turned serious. "A Saiyan?!"
"W-what?! A Saiyan?" Gohan stared at Luya in shock.
Luya looked at them and raised a hand in greeting. "Hi, how are you?"
Piccolo and Son Gohan looked at Luya with strange expressions. Gohan leaned close to Piccolo and whispered, "Uncle Piccolo, could we be mistaken? This guy looks like he just landed on Earth."
Piccolo's facial muscles twitched. Then he said gravely, "But I definitely sensed someone summoning Shenron here just now. Strange... What's going on?"
He turned to Luya. "Who are you?"
Luya flicked his tail, then grinned. "I'm a Saiyan, Luya! Nice to meet you, Gohan! Piccolo!"
Gohan: "???"
Piccolo: "???"
The two of them were completely dumbfounded. Luya knew them? How was that possible?
"How do you know us?" Gohan asked, puzzled.
Luya smiled faintly. "Of course I know you. I found out Earth had Saiyans, so I looked into you all. Then I came here!"
Piccolo studied Luya with a sharp gaze, then said gravely, "Your ki is incredibly powerful! No ordinary Saiyan could have that much. Besides, weren't the Saiyans wiped out by Frieza? As far as we know, Earth is the only place in the entire universe where Saiyans still exist. How did you survive?"
Luya thought for a moment, then smiled. "I'm not a Saiyan from your universe!"
"Not from our universe? You mean you're a Saiyan from another universe?" Piccolo stared at Luya in shock.
Luya smiled and nodded. "That's right!"
A few drops of cold sweat slid down Piccolo and Gohan's cheeks.
