Beerus governs Universe 7 as its God of Destruction. Living beings native to the universe possess Cosmic Power, which marks them as being under his jurisdiction; according to the explanation given to Luya, Destruction Power can detonate that Cosmic Power to erase a target. Beerus is immediately suspicious of Luya because he cannot sense this identifying energy. 23 27

His assigned Angel is Whis, who serves as both attendant and supervisor. Though Beerus is extraordinarily powerful, Whis is explicitly above him in strength and can halt both Beerus and Goku with ease. 27 69

Appearance

Beerus is a humanoid, cat-like deity with furred paws and a tail. His tail is normally unobtrusive, but it becomes a major problem when his disguise is damaged during his fight with Goku. 21 67 68
