Vegeta's Proud Battle

Goku and Vegeta had just returned from training with the God of Destruction, never expecting that the moment they used Instant Transmission to arrive back on Earth, they would run into such a situation.

The two sensed danger immediately, simultaneously turning their gazes toward the red sphere of energy hurtling toward them.

The next moment, their expressions darkened, and they both thrust out a single hand, instantly blocking Frieza's energy blast!

"Hah!"

"Hah!"

In the next second, both men erupted with power. Two terrifying auras swept outward, and as they exerted their strength, they shoved the massive sphere of light back!

"How is this possible?!!" Frieza's expression shifted drastically, and he hurriedly vanished in a flash.

BOOM!

The massive sphere exploded high in the distant clouds, instantly staining the entire sky a deep, vivid red!

Goku and Vegeta retracted their auras, the former looking puzzled. "What happened? Why is Frieza on Earth?"

At this moment, the Z Fighters arrived one after another at the side of Goku and his companions.

Goku looked at Gohan and the others gathered together, feeling quite happy. "Gohan, Krillin? You're all here. Did something happen?"

Gohan immediately recounted the events that had transpired.

Frieza had been resurrected!

Upon hearing their story, both Goku and Vegeta were stunned.

"That guy Frieza really hasn't changed his ways at all! To think he'd dare to destroy the Earth!" Goku said, sounding somewhat angry.

Then, remembering something, he suddenly looked at Luya and smiled. "You're Luya, right? I heard you're a Saiyan too. Sorry for the trouble of you having to stop Frieza from running wild. We couldn't get in touch with Earth, so it took us quite a while to track down the planet's energy."

Luya gave a slight nod. "It's good that you're back. This guy Frieza is even harder to deal with than I imagined. Since you've returned, I'll leave him to you."

Goku nodded earnestly. "Don't worry, I'll be the one to take Frieza down!"

"Hey, hey, hey! Kakarot! Leave Frieza to me! Ever since I broke through to Super Saiyan, I haven't had a chance to cross blades with him! So I'm going first!" Vegeta suddenly said, sounding annoyed.

Goku glanced at Vegeta and chuckled. "Fine, you can go first then. But don't you get a sense of déjà vu? This scene is similar to what happened back then!"

Hearing this, Vegeta paused, then gave a cold smirk. "Now that you mention it, it is a bit similar. Back then, I wasn't a Super Saiyan yet, and when Frieza invaded Earth, it was future Trunks who finished him off..."

At this point, Vegeta suddenly looked at Luya. "You said you came from another universe?"

Luya nodded slightly. "That's right!"

Vegeta frowned, then said in a deep voice, "It's strange that there are other universes besides our own! And you can even transform into a Super Saiyan! What kind of universe do you come from?"

Luya raised an eyebrow and replied, "A totally badass universe!"

"Badass? What is that supposed to mean?!" Vegeta asked, confused.

Everyone: "..."

Luya stifled a laugh and said, "It just means it's very impressive!"

Hearing this, Vegeta nodded as if he half-understood. "How badass is it?"

Luya said solemnly, "Extremely, extremely badass!"

Damn it!

Vegeta's face stiffened, and he clenched his fists. With his short temper, he almost wanted to rush over and beat the guy up!

"Stop chatting and let's finish off Frieza! This guy is way stronger than he used to be!" Goku suddenly interjected. He hadn't been paying close attention to their conversation, focusing instead on Frieza with a wild, fighting spirit in his eyes.

"Hmph! Let's get one thing straight: Frieza is to be dealt with by me, Vegeta! You lot stay back!" Vegeta said haughtily.

Goku struggled with the idea for a moment, but eventually agreed. "Fine, go ahead then!"

Luya suddenly spoke up. "That Frieza can transform into Golden Frieza, so you'd better be careful!"

Vegeta dismissed him with a look of disdain. "Hmph! You think only he has improved? This prince has improved as well, and dealing with him will be a piece of cake!"

Luya shook his head in frustration. As a king of posturing—and a failed one at that—he was genuinely worried for the guy.

However, he didn't say anything else and retreated into the distance with Goku and the others.

Luya's energy was currently quite depleted, so it was better for him to stay out of the fray for now. Besides, he hadn't yet mastered the Super Saiyan Blue transformation, so he couldn't defeat Frieza.

"Mr. Krillin, could you spare me a Senzu Bean?" Luya suddenly asked, looking at Krillin.

Krillin nodded immediately. "Of course! If it weren't for you, we probably would have all been killed by Frieza!"

As he spoke, he took out a Senzu Bean and handed it to Luya.

Luya took it and swallowed it immediately.

In less than two seconds, his condition was restored to its peak!

"Hm?" Goku suddenly looked at Luya, his expression turning serious.

This guy's energy... it didn't seem any weaker than his own!

As Goku thought this, he made a decision in his heart!

On the other side, Vegeta moved slowly, eventually coming to a stop right in front of Frieza.

After dodging the attack, Frieza was busy recovering his strength. Fortunately, these guys were too busy indulging in their own arrogance, giving him a chance to catch his breath!

Seeing Vegeta approach, he suddenly chuckled, "Ho ho ho! I wondered who it was; turns out it's my loyal subordinate, Vegeta!"

Vegeta's expression turned cold. "Hmph! Don't get it twisted. I, Vegeta, have never once considered you my boss!"

Frieza didn't mind, dismissing it as a mere quirk of the other's pride, and smiled, "Vegeta, you've come at the perfect time. Join forces with me, help me kill Sun Wukong and that other Super Saiyan, and I'll make you my right-hand man! My top general—how about it?"

Vegeta remained silent for a second, then revealed a wicked, charming smile. "Sounds like a pretty good deal."

Thinking he had Vegeta right where he wanted him, Frieza continued, "Exactly. So, come back to my side!"

Vegeta actually began walking toward Frieza.

"That guy, what is he doing!" Seeing her husband seemingly about to defect, Bulma was instantly furious.

Wukong watched Vegeta, his smile remaining unchanged. "Don't worry, Bulma. Vegeta is no longer the same Vegeta he used to be!"

Luya said nothing; he slowly closed his eyes to assess his own condition.

Fortunately, not only did he have no lingering side effects from his current power, but it had actually increased quite a bit!

Luya had gone all out during his battle with Frieza, keeping his Super Saiyan talent activated the entire time, so he had been growing stronger even while fighting him!

His combat power was now 6.7 billion, an increase of 200 million from before!

Using his system, he also checked the combat power of Wukong and Vegeta. Even without transforming into Super Saiyans, their combat power had reached staggering levels!

Wukong's combat power was 6.9 billion, while Vegeta's was also nearing 6.8 billion!
