Goku and Vegeta had just returned from training with the God of Destruction. They never expected to run into something like this as soon as they used Instant Transmission to get back to Earth.
At once, both of them sensed danger and looked toward the red energy ball hurtling at them.
The next moment, their expressions darkened. They thrust out one hand each, and in an instant, they blocked Frieza's Ki Blast!
"Ha!"
"Ha!"
The next second, they both powered up. Two terrifying auras surged outward as they pushed with all their might, sending the enormous energy ball flying back!
"How is this possible?!" Frieza's expression changed drastically, and he quickly vanished in a flash.
Boom!
The enormous energy ball exploded far away in the clouds, and the entire sky was instantly dyed crimson!
Goku and Vegeta let their auras subside. Goku looked puzzled. "What happened? Why is Frieza on Earth?"
Just then, the Z Fighters gathered around Goku and the others.
Seeing Gohan and the others all there, Goku was rather happy. "Gohan, Krillin? You're all here. What happened?"
Gohan immediately told him what had happened.
Frieza had been revived!
After hearing their story, Goku and Vegeta were both surprised.
"That guy Frieza never learns, does he? He actually dared to attack Earth again!" Goku said angrily.
Then he thought of something and turned to Luya with a smile. "You're Luya, right? I heard you're a Saiyan too. Sorry for the trouble, but thanks for stopping Frieza from running wild. We couldn't contact Earth, so it took us quite a while to find its ki."
Luya nodded slightly. "I'm glad you're back. Frieza was even harder to deal with than I expected. Now that you're here, I'll leave him to you."
Goku nodded seriously. "Don't worry. I'll be the one to defeat Frieza!"
"Hey, hey, hey! Kakarot! Leave Frieza to me. I haven't fought him since I broke through to Super Saiyan! So I'm going first!" Vegeta said, displeased.
Goku glanced at Vegeta, then smiled. "All right, you can go first. But doesn't this feel familiar? It's a lot like what happened back then!"
At that, Vegeta paused, then gave a cold smile. "Now that you mention it, it does. Back then, I wasn't a Super Saiyan yet, and when Frieza invaded Earth, it was the future Trunks who dealt with him..."
At this point, Vegeta turned to Luya. "You said you came from another universe?"
Luya nodded slightly. "That's right!"
Vegeta furrowed his brow and said gravely, "It's strange. There are other universes besides ours? And you can even transform into a Super Saiyan! What kind of universe do you come from?"
Luya raised an eyebrow. "A badass universe!"
"Badass? What's that supposed to mean?!" Vegeta asked, confused.
Everyone fell silent.
Luya held back a laugh. "It means it's really powerful!"
Vegeta nodded, as if he understood. "Just how badass?"
Luya answered solemnly, "Super, super badass!"
Damn it!
Vegeta's expression stiffened, and he clenched his fists. With his short temper, he wanted to go over and punch the guy into oblivion!
"Stop chatting and deal with Frieza first! He's way stronger than he used to be!" Goku suddenly said. He hadn't been paying close attention to their conversation. Instead, he'd been watching Frieza, a fervent battle lust in his eyes.
"Hmph! Let's get one thing straight: I, Vegeta, will deal with Frieza! The rest of you stay out of the way!" Vegeta declared arrogantly.
Goku hesitated, but in the end he agreed. "All right. Go ahead."
Luya suddenly said, "Frieza can transform into Golden Frieza, so be careful."
Vegeta scoffed. "Hmph! You think he's the only one who's gotten stronger? I've improved too. Taking him down will be easy!"
Luya shook his head helplessly. As a boastful show-off—and a failed one at that—Vegeta really made him worry.
But he said nothing more and followed Goku and the others to a safe distance.
Luya had used up a lot of energy, so it was best to stay out of the fight for now. Besides, he still couldn't transform into Super Saiyan Blue, so he couldn't beat Frieza.
"Mr. Krillin, could I have a Senzu Bean?" Luya suddenly asked.
Krillin immediately nodded. "Of course! If it weren't for you, Frieza would probably have killed all of us!"
As he spoke, he took out a Senzu Bean and handed it to Luya.
Luya took it and swallowed it.
In less than two seconds, he was back in peak condition!
"Hm?" Goku suddenly looked at Luya, his expression turning serious.
That guy's ki seemed no weaker than his own!
As Goku thought this, he made a decision.
Meanwhile, Vegeta slowly moved toward Frieza and stopped in front of him.
After dodging the attack, Frieza had been recovering his strength. Luckily, the others had been busy celebrating, giving him a chance to catch his breath!
Now that Vegeta had come over, Frieza suddenly laughed. "Ho ho ho! I wondered who it was. So it's my loyal subordinate, Vegeta!"
Vegeta's expression turned cold. "Hmph! Don't get the wrong idea. I, Vegeta, have never considered you my boss!"
Frieza didn't care. He assumed Vegeta's pride was simply getting the better of him, so he smiled. "Vegeta, you've come at just the right time. Join forces with me and help me kill Son Goku and that other Saiyan. I'll make you my right-hand man! My top general! What do you say?"
Vegeta was silent for a second, then flashed a wicked smile. "That sounds like a pretty good offer!"
Thinking he already had Vegeta in the palm of his hand, Frieza said, "That's right. So, why don't you come over to my side?"
Vegeta actually started walking toward Frieza.
"What's he doing?!" Bulma was furious when she saw her husband apparently switching sides.
Goku watched Vegeta, his smile never wavering. "Don't worry. Vegeta's not the same as he used to be."
Luya said nothing. He closed his eyes and checked his condition.
Fortunately, his power had no side effects. In fact, it had increased quite a bit!
Luya had gone all out in his battle with Frieza, keeping his Super Saiyan talent activated the entire time. That was why he'd grown stronger while fighting Frieza!
His battle power was now 6.7 billion, two hundred million more than before!
He also used the system to check Goku and Vegeta's battle power. Neither had transformed into Super Saiyan yet, but their power was already astonishing!
Goku's battle power was 6.9 billion! Vegeta's was also close to 6.8 billion!
Their battle power was nearly equal, and with their abilities, that small difference could be ignored!
