Li Shu could tell from the boss's reaction that he couldn't come up with the 10 million compensation.
After a final round of haggling, the boss tearfully produced 7,594,521 yuan, 8 mao, and 6 fen in compensation – his life savings accumulated over years of scamming.
Seeing that the man was truly penniless, Li Shu let him go and flew away with carefree elegance, leaving the boss staring in horror.
"Ding! Triggered Achievement Mission Chain 'Punish the Evil and Promote the Good', current progress 1/300, mission reward [Great Hero] title, Achievement Points +5000!"
"[Great Hero]: Combat Power +30%!"
"!!!" The sudden system voice shocked Li Shu. This was the first time he had seen such an achievement mission.
The tempting reward made his mouth water, wishing he could abandon the Dragon Balls and go kill 299 more wicked people right now.
He had never seen so many Achievement Points before, a massive 5000 points!
He had worked himself to death for five years and only gained a few hundred points in total.
And the stats of the [Great Hero] title, what man could resist such a temptation? He had to get it!
"No rush, no rush, the two don't conflict. There are plenty of wicked people within the Red Ribbon Army."
This sudden surprise had truly startled Li Shu; it was the most generous reward he had ever seen.
The system was rarely this generous, so he had to give it face. This mission chain must be completed, and the most evil army in the world must be destroyed.
Li Shu thought gleefully, while also wanting to see what the [Holographic Dragon Radar] looked like and what its functions were.
"Hmm? Why isn't it in my storage space?" Li Shu searched for a long time but couldn't find it. A thought struck him: could it be a skill?
As expected, upon opening his skill panel, the [Holographic Dragon Radar] was listed there.
[Holographic Dragon Radar]: Displays the exact location of the Dragon Balls in high-definition holographic imagery, with a built-in navigation system.
Li Shu's heart stirred, and a holographic projection screen appeared before his eyes, showing the locations of the remaining five Dragon Balls.
With its powerful radar range, it was far superior to the small radar made by Bulma.
"Huh?" Li Shu looked at Wukong curiously. Could Wukong not see such a large holographic projection screen?
Can only I see it?
This is good too, it saves a lot of explaining.
Li Shu quickly brought up the location of the Dragon Ball closest to them. The radar map zoomed in rapidly, and a clear image appeared before his eyes.
It was a vast expanse of land covered in ice and snow, with a towering red tower standing majestically. Around this tower were scattered villages.
"Is that Muscle Tower? It looks a bit... impactful."
The image changed again, showing the specific location of the Dragon Ball within a room at the top of Muscle Tower, being played with by a middle-aged man with a ferocious appearance.
The image zoomed in again, clearly showing the Dragon Ball in the middle-aged man's hand – a Two-Star Dragon Ball.
The functionality of the [Holographic Dragon Radar] deeply shocked Li Shu. It was simply too amazing.
"With this, the Dragon Balls can completely be used as eyes," Li Shu suddenly had a bold idea.
As he thought, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
"Big brother, what are you laughing about?" Wukong asked curiously.
Li Shu quickly came back to his senses and said, "Nothing, I just think we need to buy some cotton clothes. The north is an extremely cold place."
"Okay! And then let's grab a meal, I'm a bit hungry," Wukong said with a smile, fully agreeing with Li Shu's suggestion.
Wukong's words made Li Shu feel hungry too, so he readily agreed, looking for nearby villages and towns.
With their flying speed, they quickly found a quiet village. After purchasing a large amount of winter supplies, they both had a hearty meal.
Under the astonished gaze of the restaurant owner, Li Shu and Wukong consumed the equivalent of over 80 people's portions, totaling over 500,000.
"Welcome back next time!" The restaurant owner respectfully saw off the two big spenders, in a very good mood.
The two walked leisurely through the town streets, digesting their meal.
Not long after, a group of fierce-looking thugs blocked their path.
"You two gluttons, you sure can eat. Over 500,000 for one meal." The leader was a scar-faced man with yellow hair, constantly fiddling with a dagger in his hand.
The other townspeople, seeing this, quickly retreated into their homes, closing their doors tightly, not daring to interfere.
The restaurant owner watched from afar. Finally, gritting his teeth, he decided to help the two big spenders. Despite his wife's repeated dissuasions, he dialed the emergency number.
"You! You make me so angry! What's the use of catching them? They'll be released in a few days, and they'll retaliate against us!" His wife, tears streaming down her face, complained to her husband.
The restaurant owner sighed, "After all, the trouble started because they ate here. We should help. Besides, if you don't say anything and I don't say anything, who will know we called the police?"
"Sigh." His wife sighed, her face full of worry.
This group was notorious hooligans from the surrounding ten villages. Lazy and idle, they spent their days causing trouble and had been to jail countless times.
But every time they got out, they never changed their ways, and the police were also very troubled by them.
"Did you say gluttons?" Li Shu looked at the yellow-haired man in front of him with displeasure.
"Talking about you two. Eating 500,000 in one meal, what else are you but gluttons? Or are you super gluttons?"
The yellow-haired man and his gang burst into laughter, looking at Li Shu and Wukong with ill intentions.
"I'm hungry too, and I'd love to see what a five-hundred-thousand-dollar meal feels like," the blond-haired man said with a sinister sneer. "If you know what's good for you, leave the money behind, or you won't be walking out of here."
A smile couldn't help but bloom on Li Shu's face. It was like someone handing him a pillow just as he was getting sleepy—and eight of them had arrived all at once.
"What the hell are you smiling at! You're looking for a death wish!" Enraged by the smile on Li Shu's face, the blond man lunged forward, stabbing out with his dagger.
Li Shu didn't even dodge. When the blade struck him, it made a sound like clashing steel and couldn't pierce his skin by even a fraction. The blond man was stunned; he stabbed repeatedly until his hand went numb from the recoil, and in his shock, he fumbled the dagger, letting it clatter to the ground.
"Pick it up." Li Shu's gaze turned icy. He stared down the blond man with a stern, commanding authority that brooked no refusal.
Terrified, the blond man looked at Li Shu and tremblingly reached down to retrieve the weapon.
Smack!
Li Shu swung a backhand across his face. "Hold it steady."
The blond man was paralyzed with fear. He cast a desperate, pleading look at his accomplices behind him, only to realize that the terror on their faces was no less than his own.
