Storm Bow: A weapon from Hanzo, a hunting bow that can fire arrows with a variety of effects. Its headshot damage is massive. It can only fire one arrow at a time, but its ammunition is unlimited.
"Storm Arrow!" William raised the Storm Bow, nocked an arrow, and aimed at Iron Monger, who was battling Iron Man in the distance.
Storm Arrow: Fire a sharp arrow at an enemy with the Storm Bow. The arrow's damage and range vary depending on how long you charge it. Charging the shot improves its accuracy and damage.
Note: Arrows have a travel delay, so you need to lead your target.
Hanzo was indeed one of the hardest heroes to master in Overwatch. Back when William played the game, he hardly ever dared to use him. For one thing, he wasn't very good with him; for another, other players would curse him out because of it.
In the past few days, whenever William had free time, he'd practiced Hanzo in the Virtual Training Grounds. By now, he could hit the Training Bot from a hundred meters away with about two arrows out of every ten—which was already pretty good. Headshots were another matter entirely.
Besides, he was standing on the roof of Stark Industries, and the battle between Iron Man and Iron Monger was well over a hundred meters away. Whether he hit anything was entirely up to luck!
"My arrow will find you!"
William fired three arrows in a row without hitting Iron Monger. One fell to the ground before it even reached the highway, another struck an unlucky taxi, and the third landed beside Iron Monger's foot.
Coulson covered his face with one hand. "Did your art teacher teach you archery? You're a master at drawing outlines around people!"
William's awful aim left Coulson feeling utterly frustrated. If only Hawkeye were here. He'd be much more reliable than this guy.
"To tell you the truth, I just shoot and hope for the best." William took his time aiming at Iron Monger's head, drew the bowstring, and loosed another arrow.
Coulson was just about to say something when he saw, from afar, that William's arrow seemed to have hit Iron Monger.
Iron Monger had been hastily slapped together overnight by a group of engineers, but its defenses were formidable—even tougher than Iron Man. It had plenty of weaknesses, though. For instance, its mechanical joints were exposed.
William had clearly meant to shoot it in the head, but who could've guessed he'd hit it in the knee?
"Heh-heh." William gave an awkward laugh. "See? I told you. You never know where fate will take you!"
Iron Monger was both stronger and better armored than Iron Man. On top of that, Tony was low on power and had been on the back foot the entire time.
Obadiah had been gloating and taunting Tony, certain he was about to win—until an arrow struck him in the knee!
The arrow hit the exposed knee joint and wedged between two gears, cutting power to the entire leg. Iron Monger suddenly dropped to one knee.
Iron Man seized the opportunity and punched Iron Monger in the face, but Iron Monger grabbed his arm and hurled him away.
"Who was that? Who's attacking me from the shadows?" Iron Monger yanked the arrow from his knee and roared furiously.
Obadiah looked around and spotted several more arrows scattered on the ground. Was an archer sneaking attacks on him?
He searched the area. The traffic around him was in chaos, and there was no way an archer could be hiding there. If an archer wanted to attack him, they'd need to find a high place. So that meant the high ground...
Just as he was about to figure it out, the thrusters on Iron Man's suit roared to life, sending him into the air. He raised both hands and fired the Arc Pulse Cannon at Iron Monger.
"Tony, I admit you're a genius. But I upgraded my armor, too!" Obadiah laughed. The thrusters beneath Iron Monger's feet blasted out a massive gust of air, sending him flying toward Iron Man.
Tony froze. He'd assumed that if he stayed in the air, Obadiah wouldn't be able to reach him. He hadn't expected Iron Monger's armor to have been upgraded, too. Obadiah's laughter seemed to mock him: Surprised? I can fly, too!
Iron Man and Iron Monger shot into the sky, vanishing into the clouds amid a thunderous roar.
"They're flying away!" Coulson said, holding up his binoculars. William put away his bow and watched the two black specks disappear into the distance.
He couldn't see what was happening up there, but he could imagine how it would go.
Come on, chase me! If you catch me, I'll let you have your way with me.
Iron Man and Iron Monger would chase each other through the sky. Iron Monger wouldn't let him get away so easily. They'd fly all the way to the stratosphere, where Iron Monger would gradually freeze over and plummet to the ground. Iron Man would run out of power and fall, too. They'd both crash-land.
And then, the end.
Just kidding. William knew the fight wasn't over yet. He hurriedly said to Coulson, "Coulson, get down there and protect Miss Potts. Then notify S.H.I.E.L.D. and Director Fury. Leave this to me!"
"Can you handle it on your own?" Coulson asked, eyeing William doubtfully.
William smiled without answering, then clutched the Storm Bow and sprinted toward the edge of the rooftop. He leaped—and disappeared into the night.
"Has this guy gone crazy?" Coulson hurried over, hoping William hadn't fallen to his death. But when he looked down, there was no sign of him.
Remembering what William had just said, Coulson immediately ran downstairs. Iron Monger had already killed three agents, and they needed reinforcements. More importantly, he had to seal off the area at once. No one could find out what had happened here!
William had tried to jump off the building and kill himself?
Of course not. He was quickly climbing up the side of Stark Industries, moving like a nimble spider.
This was one of Hanzo's abilities in Overwatch. High-tech equipment on his hands and feet allowed him to scale walls and vault over them with ease, making him more mobile and agile.
William knew the roof of Stark Industries would soon become the center of the battle. Besides, there was a good chance it would explode, so standing on the roof was extremely dangerous. He needed to get familiar with the terrain ahead of time.
But climbing walls as Hanzo wasn't easy, either. He'd nearly fallen just moments ago. Looking at the traffic below, he couldn't help swallowing nervously.
Archery was hard enough, and now even wall-climbing was difficult. Hanzo really was a maliciously designed hero!
Tony struggled to his feet. He'd run out of power in the air and had nearly thought he was going to die. Fortunately, the emergency backup power had kept him alive long enough to land.
His landing hadn't been very graceful, though. He'd practically landed headfirst with his butt in the air, as if he were waiting for someone to come along.
"Pepper, are you all right?" Tony shook his head to clear it. The first thing he did once he'd recovered was call Pepper.
"I'm safe," Pepper answered excitedly. "Agent Coulson is protecting me. Are you all right?"
Tony opened his faceplate and caught his breath. "My suit's almost out of power. I need to get it off, fast."
Just then, he thought he heard a noise nearby. Could Obadiah still be alive?
Tony closed his faceplate again. Iron Man's eyes lit up, and he saw someone emerge from the darkness.
The stranger wore unusual clothes and had his hair tied back. His left chest was bare, marked with a dragon tattoo like those worn by gang bosses. What surprised Tony even more was that the man was holding a longbow!
"Mr. Stark, it's been a long time!"
Everything was up to fate~
