Let the Dragon Consume You!

"Director, we've got a problem. Send backup immediately!" Coulson sat in the car. The video on the vehicle's communicator was very dark, and he could barely make out a person's outline.

He had planned to take Pepper Potts somewhere safe, but he hadn't expected Tony to ask her to overload the Arc Reactor and blow up the roof. He couldn't stop her, so all he could do was call S.H.I.E.L.D. for help.

"I know." The dim video gradually brightened, revealing a one-eyed Black man. "There's so much going on at Stark Industries, it's practically making the news."

That was right: the mysterious person Coulson spoke with over video every time was Director Fury. He was just so dark-skinned that you could barely see his face in poor lighting.

"I'll seal off the area as soon as possible and keep the news from getting out!" Coulson replied.

"By the way, where's William?" Nick Fury suddenly remembered that annoying guy.

Coulson scratched his head. "He went to help Stark. He's fighting Obadiah!"

"In that future-soldier form?"

"No. I think we underestimated him. Today he actually turned into an archer!"

Nick Fury's single eye widened. "Are you kidding me? An archer?"

Hanzo transformation time remaining: 0:30

William climbed to his feet. He felt like every bone in his body was about to break. Athena's voice echoed in his ear. His transformation was about to end, but Obadiah still hadn't been defeated.

Hanzo's physical strength was still inferior to Soldier: 76's. Just getting caught in the crossfire had nearly done him in. It seemed he couldn't use this hero carelessly.

Nearby, Obadiah was firing his Gatling gun at Iron Man. Tony hurriedly raised his arms to defend himself. Bullets flew everywhere, shattering the glass beneath his feet. Tony nearly fell, but managed to grab the railing.

Just as Obadiah was about to deliver the finishing blow, William came over and shot an arrow at Iron Monger's metal helmet. The arrow bounced right off, but it drew Obadiah's attention.

"You annoying little pest! You want to die?" Enraged, Obadiah stopped attacking Tony and turned his Gatling gun on William.

William's expression changed. He hurriedly rolled aside to dodge as bullets punched hole after hole in the ground, nearly hitting him!

Pepper was already ready to overload the Arc Reactor. She was just waiting for Tony's command. But she knew that once the roof was blown away, Tony might be killed in the blast too. She really didn't want to press that button.

"Pepper! Do it now!" Tony shouted. He watched as Obadiah was about to shoot the other man dead.

Pepper slammed the activation button, then hurried outside. The overloaded Arc Reactor immediately blazed with dazzling blue light, brilliant electric arcs flashing around it.

A thick blue beam, crackling with electricity, shot skyward. It burst through the roof of Stark Industries and soared into the heavens. The clouds overhead seemed to rumble like a thunderstorm, filling the air with rolling thunder.

The force blasted Tony away, and he hit the ground, apparently unconscious. William had known the roof would explode, so the instant the Arc Reactor overloaded, he leaped down and clung to the wall, narrowly escaping disaster.

In the movie, Obadiah should have been struck by the electric arc and fallen into the reactor. But William hadn't expected Iron Monger's feet to be shooting out jets of air, keeping him hovering in midair. He'd escaped the roof's explosion too.

William hurried over the wall and landed on the ground, firing a scatter arrow at Iron Monger as he did. This time, Iron Monger didn't fall for it. He knew those arrows could split apart, so he dodged well in advance.

"It's all over. Tony is dead," Obadiah said coldly. "Who are you, exactly? Stark's bodyguard? Or an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

William raised his longbow again. At the same time, the enormous Dragon Tattoo on his body began to glow.

"Old fox, you think you've already won?" The Dragon Tattoo on William's body shone brighter and brighter. "This was all part of my plan. You fell into my trap from the very beginning. You should know that a big guy like you is the easiest way for Hanzo to build up energy!"

Obadiah furrowed his brow. What the hell was this guy talking about? Hanzo? Building up energy?

In William's field of vision, a dim icon showed 99%. It was the ultimate ability icon from the Overwatch System—the icon for Hanzo's ultimate ability.

That was right. From the very beginning, he'd thought of a way to deal with Obadiah.

Soldier: 76's Pulse Bullets couldn't penetrate Iron Monger's armor, and Hanzo's arrows couldn't deal much damage either. But Hanzo's ultimate ability was different. It could summon a terrifying entity.

Storm Arrow! Sonic Arrow! Scatter Arrow!

He'd been building up his ultimate ability's energy since the battle began. Whether or not he hit, he never stopped firing arrows.

Hitting an enemy's arm, leg, or chest would build up his energy. And hitting a target with an ability built it up even more, and much faster.

Iron Monger was huge and powerful. In every way, he could overpower Iron Man, whose suit wasn't fully charged. But who could have guessed that Hanzo would suddenly enter the fray?

His massive size was both his strength and his weakness. Against Hanzo, his size was his biggest disadvantage. No matter where he got hit, he charged Hanzo's ultimate ability. He was practically a walking battery!

William fired two more arrows at Iron Monger. One of them hit his shoulder. At that moment, the dim ultimate ability icon finally lit up.

99%...100%!

"Ryūjin no ken wo kurae!"

The Dragon Tattoo on William's body seemed to come alive, blazing with blue light. It was filled with something like a storm, or maybe lightning, and the arrow on the bowstring was wrapped in that same wild energy.

Dragon: Summon the Dragon Spirit with the Storm Bow. The Dragon Spirit pierces all targets and deals massive damage to enemies in a straight line.

Warning: Within ten meters, the dragon remains in arrow form. If interrupted at that point, the Dragon Spirit cannot be summoned.

Just one second before Hanzo's transformation ended, William finally released the arrow. It looked like an ordinary shot, but blue light swirled around it.

Obadiah's expression changed. His instincts told him that this arrow was different from the others. He activated every weapon on his suit to attack, intending only to destroy it.

But he was too late. The ten-meter distance vanished in an instant, and the arrow transformed into a vortex of lightning and storms.

Antlers, an ox's head, rabbit's eyes, a snake's body, fish scales... Obadiah could hardly believe his eyes. This was a mythical creature that couldn't possibly exist in the real world—a dragon!

"Roar—"

With an earth-shattering roar, two enormous Dragon Spirits burst from the vortex of lightning and storms. They opened their mouths, and howling winds and raging lightning swept through the air. Their terrifying power seemed ready to destroy everything before them.

Obadiah had no chance to dodge. The moment he saw the Dragon Spirits, both had already swallowed him up. Lightning and gale-force winds instantly engulfed his body!

Iron Monger, now wrecked, lost power in midair. It plunged down with its pilot and fell into the overloaded Arc Reactor.

With a thunderous boom, the Arc Reactor exploded. All of Stark Industries shook, and the fierce battle between Iron Man and Iron Monger finally came to an end.

"William, you have successfully completed the main quest: The Rise of Iron Man. Congratulations! You have received an experience reward and reached level 4. Rewards: Loot Box x1, 800 gold coins."

The second William fired Dragon, his transformation ended. He returned to his normal self and sat on the wrecked rooftop. Tony was lying beside him, the Arc Reactor in his chest glowing faintly.

That battle had been incredibly difficult. Even with a plan prepared in advance, William had struggled to keep up against the terrifying Iron Monger. But the battle was finally over, and the main quest had been completed.

But William knew he couldn't celebrate too soon. After the events of Iron Man 1, an even tougher battle was about to begin!
