Serpent Awakens

The Pacific at night was shrouded in an eerie, terrifying atmosphere. Gale-force winds howled amid torrential rain, lightning, and thunder. A pitch-black warship rocked amid the towering waves, bearing the emblem of a red skull and tentacles—the warship of Hydra.

Ever since Red Onslaught had found the legendary Sky Hammer, a voice had constantly been calling to him from within his mind. Following its instructions, he had come to the western North Pacific. They were preparing to head for the deepest trench in the world—the Mariana Trench.

Amid the torrential rain and crashing thunder, two Hydra soldiers stood watch on deck. Just then, one of them seemed to spot a dark shadow on the surface of the sea. But it flashed past and quickly vanished.

Suddenly, the mysterious shadow attacked. One Hydra soldier was ambushed and dragged into the ocean. The other hurried over in panic, only to see the fading spray.

As he turned around, the mysterious shadow was already before him. At that moment, lightning ripped across the sky, illuminating the creature and revealing its true form!

It was a humanoid creature with a horrifying fish head, two enormous bulging eyes, and a mouth full of savage teeth. Gills lined its neck, fine scales covered its body, fins grew from its back and arms, and its hands ended in razor-sharp claws.

"Roar—"

It let out a hoarse yet piercing roar, its whole body reeking of fish.

"Monster!"

The Hydra soldier immediately opened fire, but the fish-headed monster was even faster. Its sharp claws pierced straight through his chest!

The gunfire outside drew Hydra's attention, and Hydra soldiers rushed onto the deck. At that moment, even more fish-headed monsters leaped from the sea and launched an attack on the ship.
