With Thor's Aether, the Black Order was no match for him. Even Ebony Maw was bound by countless strands of Aether. Thor walked up to the Dwarf King and said, "Eitri, sorry I came too late!"
"It's good that you're here. We have to avenge the dead dwarves." Eitri looked at Thor's eye hidden beneath his eyepatch. "Thor, what happened to your eye?"
"Too much happened. We defeated the Serpent, but at the cost of Asgard's destruction. My father died too..."
Eitri's expression turned to shock when he heard Thor's words. "Odin is dead?"
"Yes..." Thor's gaze dimmed. "He sacrificed himself to save me."
"Everything is part of Lord Thanos's plan." At that moment, Ebony Maw, still entangled in Aether, said coldly, "I must deliver the Reality Stone to him. He doesn't like failed missions, and neither do I!"
"You're tied up by me. How exactly do you plan to take it?" Thor asked.
Ebony Maw's eyes lit up with a white glow. Then, a massive shadow appeared in the skies over Nidavellir. It was a warship—a donut-shaped vessel—from which countless whistling figures suddenly flew out.
They were gray-skinned aliens clad in armor and masks, riding vehicles beneath their feet that resembled snowmobiles.
Thor's expression changed. He knew what they were: Chitauri. During the Battle of New York, it had been the Chitauri army that invaded Earth, so the sight was unforgettable to him.
Dozens of Chitauri charged toward them, raising their laser guns and opening fire on the enemies atop the star ring.
