Tony's health was getting worse by the day. With a condition like his, he should have been admitted to the hospital long ago.
But Tony hadn't done that. He believed life was meant to be enjoyed while he could. He wanted to take a vacation with Pepper Potts, so they had come to Monaco.
Monaco was in Europe and was the second-smallest country in the world, surpassed only by Vatican City. Its economy was thriving, and its citizens were wealthy.
It was a famous tourist destination, attracting countless visitors every year. The Formula One Grand Prix held there was especially renowned around the world.
A Rolls-Royce Phantom rolled slowly up and stopped in front of a luxury hotel. Tony and Pepper Potts got out, along with William. At Tony's enthusiastic invitation, William had come to Monaco too.
Happy, their bodyguard and driver, followed behind them carrying a red briefcase. William knew it wasn't meant for luggage. It held Tony's latest Iron Armor.
"Tony, we love you!"
"Tony, stay in Europe!"
The crowd cheered enthusiastically, and Tony waved to them. William hadn't expected Tony to have so many female fans, even in faraway Europe.
Poverty had limited his imagination. Everywhere he looked, there were luxury cars, grand and lavish villas and hotels, and white yachts moored at the docks.
William and the others entered the luxury hotel's restaurant. Silver tableware, enormous crystal chandeliers, artistic statues and reliefs, and famous paintings from around the world dazzled the eye.
He figured he could steal any one of those paintings and never have to eat frozen sandwiches again.
"Pepper," Tony said with a smile. "Whatever happens in a moment, just go with the flow."
