The timeline returned to Marvel's future world.
The Avengers' journey through time had ended, and Iron Man and the others were the first to return to Avengers Headquarters.
The final invasion was drawing near. The distance between the Overwatch world and the Marvel world was shrinking, and the phantom of another Earth hanging in the sky constantly reminded them that they did not have much time left.
Thus, after returning, the Avengers immediately began working on a new Infinity Gauntlet.
Using his own nanotechnology together with Black Panther's technology, Iron Man created a brand-new Infinity Gauntlet.
This Infinity Gauntlet was not made in the dwarves' style, but in Iron Man's own style—the classic red-and-gold color scheme. The Infinity Gauntlet forged by the dwarves could unleash the immense power of the Infinity Stones. Through Uru Metal and the magical runes engraved upon it, its user could wield the different abilities of each Stone.
But the Infinity Gauntlet created by Iron Man was different. It existed solely for that snap, and whoever snapped their fingers would have to pay an enormous price.
Two Stones had already been placed on Iron Man's Infinity Gauntlet: the yellow Mind Stone and the red Reality Stone.
"We're still short four," Iron Man said, adjusting his glasses. "Who knows when that guy William will be back."
"More importantly," Captain America said, "the Soul Stone is still in Thanos' hands. Even if we gather the other five Stones, we still won't be able to make the snap without the last one."
Thor said nothing. He sat to the side, gnawing on a chicken drumstick and drinking cola. Although meeting his past self had greatly improved his state of mind, neither his weight nor his appetite could be changed in just a day or two.
Just as the Avengers
