Background

Su Ming is a transmigrator who awakened the same Evil Fire Phoenix martial soul as Ma Hongjun at Shrek Academy. Though Flender planned to cultivate both boys as fire-attribute assault-type soul masters, Su Ming concluded that the martial soul's evil attribute could devour its fire attribute, eliminating the source of its evil-fire disturbance by removing the fire instead of purifying the evil. He tested this path for three months before obtaining an Evil-attribute first ring at level ten. 1

Flender considered Su Ming's path dangerous and deviant. In response, Su Ming outwardly followed academy routines while secretly cultivating Evil Devour every night, gradually consuming the fire-attribute origin within his martial soul. His conflict with Flender escalated after he took an 800-year second ring; he ultimately left Shrek to seek the resources and institutional support of Spirit Hall. 2 4 5

At Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong recognized both his talent and his commitment to pursuing an unknown evil-attribute path. Although she initially did not formally accept a male disciple, she granted him Saint-level treatment and had Hu Liena guide him.
