Xue Mingqing's Admission

Mu En brought Xue Mingqing and Zhang Lexuan to Shrek after accepting both as disciples. Because Xue Mingqing was below the academy's usual enrollment age, Mu En arranged for him to remain on Sea God Island under his personal instruction rather than enter through the ordinary process. 29 30

Shrek invested heavily in Xue Mingqing's development and later formally enrolled him with both Outer and Inner Court student badges. By age ten, he had reached level 35 with two purple rings and one black ring, while Mu En recognized that his ice attribute had advanced to Extreme Ice. 73

Xue Mingqing never regarded Shrek as an object of loyalty. He remained because he saw the continent's strongest academy as a possible platform for building a force against Evil Soul Masters. 71

Internal Corruption and Protection Failures

Yan Shaozhe, Shrek's Outer Court Dean and Mu En's eldest disciple, secretly hired an Evil Soul Master to intercept and kill Xue Mingqing. Mu En discovered the scheme and sealed Yan Shaozhe's Soul Power down to the Soul King level. 70

During another incident, Elder Song watched Xue Mingqing's confrontation with an Evil Soul Master from concealment, prepared to intervene only for him while dismissing the potential deaths of Wang Chao, Lu Xiaoxiao, and others as inconsequential to Shrek. 59

Shrek's failures culminated during the Star Dou Forest expedition, when Xuan Zi neglected his duty as protector and Xue Mingqing was nearly killed while covering his team's retreat. Break with Xue Mingqing

After Feng Qingyang revealed Xue Mingqing's status as his chosen divine successor, Sea God Pavilion's elders celebrated the future god as proof of Shrek's own foundation and instruction. Mu En privately rejected this view, recognizing that Xue Mingqing's talent, will, and achievements were not bestowed by the academy. 205 206

Following his recovery, Xue Mingqing rejected Shrek's repeated invitations to return. Distrustful of the academy after its negligence and internal schemes, he formally withdrew and transferred to Heavenly Soul Royal Academy. 240

Loyalty-Based Reforms
