Background / History

Qian Daoliu is a level-99 Peerless Douluo and the Great Elder of Martial Soul Hall. Alongside Bo Saixi and Tang Chen, he is counted among the few figures standing at the summit of mortal soul master cultivation. His authority is sufficient that even the name “Qian Daoliu” is regarded as a deterrent among major factions. 26 32

In his youth, Qian Daoliu pursued Bo Saixi, but she never returned his feelings. Their later responsibilities as representatives of Martial Soul Hall and Sea God Island left them with few opportunities to meet; by the time he seeks her out in Tiandou City, decades have passed since their previous encounter. 39 41

After receiving Qian Renxue's report that Bo Saixi has left Sea God Island with Li Changqing, Qian Daoliu is shocked by both her presence on the mainland and Li Changqing's exceptional talent. He concludes that Li Changqing is likely connected to the God Realm rather than being an ordinary Sea God successor. 36 41

Qian Daoliu learns from Qian Renxue that Bo Saixi has left Sea God Island, is searching for the Heart of the Sea God, and is protecting the extraordinary Li Changqing. He directs Qian Renxue to prioritize her own safety. 36

Visit to Li Changqing

He secretly visits Li Changqing's courtyard to ask after Bo Saixi. Li Changqing correctly identifies him as Qian Daoliu, partly by contrasting his appearance and aura with Tang Chen's, amusing Qian Daoliu enough to earn his approval. He leaves instructions for Bo Saixi to meet him at Tiandou Hotel. 39

Negotiations with Bo Saixi

Qian Daoliu probes Bo Saixi about Li Changqing's identity and concludes that the child is connected to the God Realm. He agrees to have Qian Renxue assist in locating the Heart of the Sea God, then proposes a political marriage alliance between Qian Renxue and Li Changqing. 41
