Governance and Hierarchy

The God Realm is governed by the God Realm Committee, whose five God Kings maintain the realm's order. The Committee convenes in a circular hall containing five hovering thrones. 1 5

Laws and Restrictions

• Children born in the God Realm must be registered under its laws. The Angel God invokes this law when accusing the Goddess of Life of concealing Li Changqing. 2
• Deities, including God Kings, are prohibited from descending to lower realms or directly interfering in mortal affairs. 15 16
• The descent restriction is not always enforced strictly in practice, but a God King can still face punishment if formally reported to the God Realm Committee. 16
• A godhood ordinarily cannot be relinquished without a suitable successor; inheriting a divine position requires both talent and suitable character. 5
• One day in the God Realm equals one year in the mortal world, allowing greatly accelerated cultivation on the Douluo Continent from the realm's perspective. 4 9

History

Li Changqing was secretly raised inside the Palace of Life for six years, never permitted to leave because the Goddess of Life considered the outside realm dangerous. His existence became a legal and political issue when the Angel God reported that the Goddess of Life was concealing an unregistered child. 2 3

The God Realm Committee debated whether the Palace of Life should be searched. Although the God of Destruction and Angel God supported a search, the proposal failed after the remaining God Kings abstained. The Angel God was confined to the Angel Temple, while the Goddess of Life received one month to explain the matter. 2

Fearing that Li Changqing would remain vulnerable in the God Realm, the Goddess of Goodness proposed sending him to the Douluo Continent, where thirty mortal years would pass in only one month of God Realm time. The intended result was for Li Changqing to mature and inherit the Life God position before the threat against him could be acted upon. 4

The Goddess of Life subsequently negotiated with Poseidon. Using her authority as a God King, she promised to help him leave the God Realm in exchange for his protection of Li Changqing after the child descended to Sea God Island in a concealed mortal body. 5 6

Concealed Child Investigation

The God Realm's laws and political hierarchy become central when the Angel God challenges the Goddess of Life over Li Changqing's concealed birth. The dispute exposes divisions among the God Kings and places the Goddess of Life under a deadline to account for her actions. 1 2

Li Changqing's Descent

The realm's restrictions on divine interference force the Goddess of Life to act covertly. Li Changqing is sent to the Douluo Continent with his memories preserved and his divinity concealed, while Poseidon arranges protection through Sea God Island. 6 7

Destruction and Angel God's Plot

The God of Destruction cannot directly pursue Li Changqing in the mortal realm without risking a report to the Committee. The Angel God exploits this limitation, proposing an alliance: she would act against Li Changqing, while the God of Destruction would assist her attempt to kill Poseidon and pursue God King status. 15 16
