Her presence, together with the island's defensive formations, deters the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, which seeks to devour the Sea God's remaining divine power. These responsibilities normally prevent her from leaving the island 14.

Her role also carries a fatal obligation: once a suitable Sea God successor completes the preceding trials, she must sacrifice her life to open the Gate of Inheritance. She accepts this as her duty without truly wanting to die.
