• Zhong Shenxiu fought Gu Yue at her villa, and after three days of sparring they joined Zero Class in the Spirit Ascension Platform.
• Zhong Shenxiu defeated a squad of Soul Masters, then drew the Riot Period’s Soul Beasts toward himself and fought through their growing horde.
• Zhong Shenxiu awakened the Clear Dragon Heart, used it to find his enemies’ weaknesses, and unleashed his inherited powers against the beasts.
• Zhong Shenxiu subdued the remaining Soul Beasts with his dragon might, absorbed their Spirit Power, and then fought them again when the riot overcame his influence.
• Zhong Shenxiu’s trial revived the Dragon Fighting Plane, raised his Soul Power to level forty, evolved his Earth Dragon Soul Spirit, and awakened the Badi Holy Dragon.

Zhong Shenxiu avoided joining the Tang Sect or Spirit Pagoda by claiming his family had found him, then spent a month cultivating and sparring with Badi Holy Dragon. He returned to Eastsea Academy stronger as the new term began and Xu Xiaoyan joined Zero Class.

• Zhong Shenxiu, Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Gu Yue entered the Hall of Heroes, where Zhong Shenxiu defeated the increasingly powerful Projection of Tang Wutong.
• Wu Zhangkong explained that the Hall of Heroes belonged to the Tang Sect and offered combat training, while Tang Wulin and Xie Xie agreed to join and Gu Yue declined.
• Zhong Shenxiu said his family had found him and that he needed to consult his elders before deciding whether to join the Tang Sect.
• Zhong Shenxiu asked Badi Holy Dragon to pose as his family guard, and Badi met Wu Zhangkong and the students without revealing the truth.

• Xu Xiaoyan joined Zero Class, and Zhong Shenxiu defeated Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Gu Yue in their practical combat test before Wu Zhangkong challenged him to a spar.
• Wu Zhangkong and Zhong Shenxiu fought without using Soul Skills until their final clash damaged Wu Zhangkong’s sword and ended the bout.

As Zero Class traveled to Skysea City for the Grand Competition, Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan competed for Zhong Shenxiu’s attention, and he reunited with Ye Xinglan at the opening ceremony.

• Zhong Shenxiu defeated the Diamond Baboon Leader and its pack, then collapsed from exhaustion as Ye Xinglan helped him recover.
