Beerus trembled with rage as he stared in the direction where Goku Black had disappeared. His purple aura blazed wildly beyond his control, and the space around him warped under the force of his fury. Whis hurried forward to soothe him. "Lord Beerus, please calm down. If your anger keeps spreading, this planet will be destroyed again in an instant."
Beerus forced down his anger and turned to scrutinize Goku, his eyes full of appraisal. "You look just like that guy. Let's see how powerful your Super Saiyan God form really is—and whether you're worth my using even a fraction of my strength." Goku met his gaze without fear. The Saiyan's battle-loving blood roared through him, every cell yearning for a fight. He clenched his fists, leaned forward slightly, and readied himself for battle.
Seeing that Beerus was about to fight Goku, Whis lightly tapped the ground with his staff. In an instant, Earth was restored to its former state. Its mountains were even more magnificent, its land more resilient, and it had been endowed with the strength to withstand tremendous impacts and destruction.
Beerus spoke again, his voice cold and merciless. "If you can't satisfy me, I'll destroy this planet too." Thinking of Goku Black's evil deeds, Goku felt his anger flare even hotter. His gaze grew more resolute and focused, and he silently vowed to give it everything he had—not only to prove himself, but also to protect this Earth, which had only just regained its vitality.
Goku struck first. With a shout, golden energy surged around him as he charged at Beerus like lightning, his right fist carrying tremendous force as it shot toward Beerus's face. Beerus calmly shifted to the side and dodged with ease, then flicked Goku on the forehead with one finger. The seemingly casual gesture held immense power, sending Goku flying like a cannonball until he crashed through a mountain range.
But Goku wasn't about to give up so easily. He sprang to his feet, quickly brought his hands together in front of his chest, and cried out, "Kamehameha!" A thick blue beam of energy blasted from his hands, hurtling toward Beerus with enough force to destroy everything in its path. Beerus's lips curled into a disdainful smile. He simply blew a puff of air, and the blue beam vanished without a trace, as though it had never existed.
Goku's heart jolted. He realized that the enemy before him was far stronger than he had imagined, but he didn't retreat. His eyes burned with an indomitable fighting spirit as he continued to consider how to counter him, ready to face an even fiercer attack from Beerus.
Goku summoned the power of his Super Saiyan God form, and his energy continued to climb. A blazing red aura enveloped him, his red hair whipped about, and his eyes shone like torches as he stared intently at Beerus. Every muscle in his body tensed, his veins bulging as if to declare his resolve.
Beerus watched Goku with interest, arms crossed as a purple halo flickered around him, radiating a chilling pressure. He nodded slightly, seemingly impressed by Goku's fighting spirit, though his eyes remained proud and disdainful. "Not bad. Let's see what else you can do."
Goku drew a deep breath and roared. In an instant, he vanished from where he stood. The next moment, he appeared above Beerus with his legs together, wrapped in golden light and a red aura, and slammed down like a mountain crashing from the sky. The strike was so fast and powerful that the air around them let out a shrill howl.
Beerus's lips lifted slightly. Unhurried, he raised his right hand, palm up, and easily stopped Goku's ferocious kick. A tremendous surge of energy burst outward from the two of them, splitting the ground beneath them. Cracks spread into the distance like a spiderweb.
Goku used the impact to flip backward, putting distance between himself and Beerus. Then he swept his hands quickly through the air, joining two enormous golden energy spheres together. With a forceful thrust, he formed a massive golden ball of energy in his hands, red lightning crackling around it. Goku hurled it at Beerus. As it flew, the energy ball grew larger, and ripples spread through space in its wake, as if it would devour everything in its path.
Beerus's eyes sharpened. With a casual wave of his hand, he conjured a purple energy shield before himself. When the golden energy ball struck it, a deafening boom erupted, and the dazzling light was so bright that no one could keep their eyes open. The energy ball and shield locked against each other, and their immense power dragged everything around them into a raging vortex. Mountains were leveled, rivers dried up and evaporated, and the entire Earth trembled.
Suddenly, Beerus swept his hand upward. His purple aura instantly surged, shattering the golden energy ball. Then he turned into a streak of purple light and shot toward Goku, his right fist clenched as he drove it toward Goku's stomach with enough force to destroy a star.
Goku had no time to dodge. He could only gather all his energy in his stomach and take Beerus's punch head-on. The tremendous impact sent him flying backward, blood spraying from his mouth. Yet his gaze remained unwavering, fixed on Beerus. His feet carved a deep trench in the ground before he finally managed to steady himself.
Goku wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, clenched his fists, and drew on his strength again. His red aura blazed even more fiercely, and golden currents crackled around him. He knew Beerus was far stronger than he'd imagined, but Saiyan pride wouldn't let him back down.
"Ha!" Goku shouted and shot toward Beerus like an arrow loosed from a bow. This time, he moved at full speed, leaving afterimages in the air. He swung his fists, each blow cutting through the air with a howl as he unleashed a relentless storm of attacks from every angle.
Beerus, however, moved with effortless agility, dodging Goku's attacks with ease. A hint of amusement showed in his eyes. "Is that all you've got, Saiyan?" But Goku didn't pause for an instant. His attacks grew fiercer, every punch carrying his devotion to battle and his understanding of power.
Suddenly, a flash of insight crossed Goku's eyes. He feinted a punch at Beerus's head, then abruptly changed course and kicked at Beerus's waist. Beerus was momentarily surprised and dodged to the side. Goku seized the chance to circle behind him, quickly bringing his hands together as a small energy ball formed instantly between them. He then slammed it hard into Beerus's back.
Sensing the threat behind him, Beerus swung one hand backward. His palm collided with Goku's energy ball, setting off a dull explosion. Amid the billowing smoke, Goku used the blast's force to create distance again. He rapidly moved his hands in front of his chest, preparing to unleash a new technique.
