"I never expected such a pure-looking girl to be so wild behind closed doors!"
"I bet they're going to a hotel!"
"Why even guess?"
"I'm drooling with envy..."
The two of them reached the street.
Goku rubbed his full belly.
"Phew, thanks, Bulma. I'm stuffed!"
Bulma smiled. "As long as you're full. Was the ramen here good?"
"Yeah, it was delicious!"
Bulma coaxed him, "How about I bring you here for ramen every month?"
Goku's smile faded.
He didn't go along with what Bulma had said.
Bulma froze, then asked nervously, "Goku, what's wrong?"
Goku asked seriously, "Did Grandpa tell you that I turn into a monster when I see the full moon?"
Bulma was startled.
"You—you know?"
Son Goku smiled. "I'm not stupid. How could I not know?
"As long as you don't mind that I'm a monster, that's all that matters."
Bulma immediately replied, "You're not a monster!"
Goku nodded. "I know you won't mind.
"Actually, I'm worried that I might see the moon, turn into a monster, and hurt you.
"How about this? Let's find a hotel in a bit, and you can cut off my tail!
"Once it's gone, I won't be dangerous until it grows back."
"What?"
Goku smiled and looked at Bulma's face through his blindfold.
"But you'd better get me drunk first, or it'll hurt a lot."
A complicated emotion flashed through Bulma's eyes.
A little while later, Bulma brought Goku to a hotel and led him upstairs.
The people at the front desk were just as surprised by Goku's appearance and Bulma.
While the hotel staff were discussing how such young kids could be getting up to such wild things, Bulma came to the front desk.
Everyone fell silent.
Bulma asked, "Excuse me, do you have any strong liquor? Something with a high alcohol content,
"the kind that'll get someone drunk after just one drink?"
The receptionist quickly caught on and immediately took out a particularly expensive bottle.
"Of course!
"This is popularly known as Three-Cup Knockout. It's the perfect thing for a date!
"It's just a bit pricey—eighty thousand!"
Bulma smiled faintly, paid a hundred thousand, and added, "Keep the change."
Then she took the bottle upstairs.
The people at the front desk gasped again.
"Damn, a gorgeous girl like that, and she's rich, too!
"I'm so jealous of that kid!"
"Forget it, you don't stand a chance!
"Can't you see how young that boy is?
"That rich lady must be into little boys!"
"Ah, what a shame~"
Mai and Shu had been flying a robot toward the Flying Nimbus at top speed.
Just as they were about to catch up, the Flying Nimbus suddenly sped up.
In an instant, it disappeared from their sight.
After a dogged pursuit,
their robot finally ran out of energy.
By the time the two of them walked back to Pilaf's Castle, dawn had broken.
Pilaf learned they had come back empty-handed and gave them another long, harsh scolding.
Meanwhile.
After Goku and Bulma left, Ox-King was pressured by Chi-Chi to go and propose.
With no other choice, Ox-King found a plane.
He loaded it with gifts, lugged along a mountain of packages, and took Chi-Chi to Mount Paozu.
They were going to ask Son Gohan for Goku's hand in marriage to Chi-Chi.
However, when the two of them found the home Goku and Gohan shared on the mountain,
they discovered that Son Gohan wasn't there.
They opened the door and went inside.
There wasn't much dust in the house; it looked as if its occupants had only been gone for two or three days.
Ox-King wondered aloud, "What's going on?
"Master doesn't have anything to do. Why isn't he home?
"Could he be deliberately avoiding me?"
Ox-King scratched his head.
Seeing the spotless tables and chairs, a hint of anger appeared on his face.
He muttered to himself, "Could my master think my daughter looks as ugly as me
and be avoiding me on purpose?
"I told him my daughter takes after her mother and is a pretty little thing!
"Oh, right. I don't think I ever told him."
Chi-Chi blinked her big eyes and asked,
"Dad, when Goku stayed at our house a couple of days ago,
he told me Kame House isn't far from Mount Paozu. It's just across the sea.
"Do you think Goku's Grandpa Gohan went to Kame House
to visit Master Roshi?
"Why don't we go visit Master Roshi, too?"
"Go visit Master Roshi?"
Ox-King stroked his chin and thought for a moment.
"All right. I've forgotten how many years it's been since I last saw my master!
"Now that we know where he lives, there's no reason not to pay him a visit."
With that, Ox-King turned the plane around and headed for Kame House.
With a general idea of where it was, the two of them soon landed on Kame Island.
Master Roshi looked at Chi-Chi curiously
and said, "Ox-King, your daughter doesn't look anything like you!"
Ox-King replied respectfully, "You're right, Master. She takes after her mother. She's adorable, isn't she?"
Master Roshi nodded and whispered, "Yes, she's adorable.
"Just a little too young. She hasn't got a figure yet.
"She's in a completely different league from that blue-haired girl who's always with Goku."
Ox-King froze.
"What did you say, Master?"
Master Roshi shook his head, then said, "Nothing. I was just talking to myself.
"Since you're looking for someone, why don't you help me look for someone, too?"
Ox-King immediately replied respectfully, "It would be my honor to help you, Master!
"Just tell me who you're looking for!"
However, Chi-Chi, who had come along with him, was a little annoyed.
She spoke to Master Roshi rather rudely. "Hey, Master Roshi,
we still haven't found Son Gohan.
"Now you want us to help you look for someone, too? We young people are busy.
"Where are we supposed to find all that time?"
Master Roshi raised an eyebrow.
"Well, aren't you a feisty little thing for someone so small?"
Ox-King immediately stopped Chi-Chi.
"Chi-Chi, he's my master. Mind your manners!"
Ox-King turned respectfully to Master Roshi again. "Master, just tell me who you'd like me to help find."
Master Roshi stroked his beard and said, "Gohan asked me to take Goku on as my student.
"But Gohan went off to help find the Dragon Balls, and I don't know where he is now.
"Once he's finished looking for the Dragon Balls,
please help me find Son Goku and send him here to learn martial arts.
"Seeing you today, especially Chi-Chi, whose natural talent is quite good,
gave me a new idea.
"Chi-Chi is the same age as Goku.
"Since I'm going to teach a student anyway, I might as well teach two instead of one.
