Background / History

Bulma first met Son Goku at age sixteen while searching Baozi Mountain for the Dragon Balls. Although she initially regarded him as a dependable friend, his repeated protection of her and the world made him the person she trusted most. By the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, she had realized romantic feelings for him, but Goku's marriage to Chi-Chi in her previous life left those feelings unspoken. 2

In the future timeline, Bulma survived an android-ravaged Earth and built a time machine so Trunks could travel to the past. Her efforts enabled another timeline's Goku to receive medicine for his heart disease and survive, while also preserving hope for humanity. 2
