Sikong Jing and Xia Dielian uncovered Zhang Zhun as the force behind the Sixty-Sixth Legion’s suspiciously smooth month, but General Fei and his troops blocked their way to Sixty-Six Castle. After effortlessly defeating General Fei, Sikong Jing proposed a staged attack to help Ning Jingjing expose Zhang Zhun, but General Fei rejected the plan and ordered his troops to seize him.
Sikong Jing forced General Fei to cooperate with his plan, then reached Sixty-Six Castle with Xia Dielian as Ning Jingjing prepared to promote Su Zhenglong. Staff Officer Zhang Zhun interrupted the ceremony, claiming Su Zhenglong was too old and that people objected.
Ning Jingjing faced a mutiny during Su Zhenglong’s Black Armor Warrior ceremony, with Zhang Zhun and the new recruits challenging her decision. She refused to revoke Su Zhenglong’s appointment and bestowed his token and helmet, choosing to risk a fight rather than compromise.
Zhang Zhun used the turmoil in the Sixty-Sixth Legion to undermine Ning Jingjing and revealed his connection to the Ning Family. Sikong Jing returned and warned that Zhang Zhun had arranged for 30,000 Black Armor Warriors from the new Ninety-Nine Legion to attack, while Zhang ordered the signal sent.
Sikong Jing returned as Zhang Zhun stirred the 120,000 troops against Ning Jingjing and boldly claimed Su Zhenglong could defeat any opponent of the same realm with one sword strike. He demonstrated his new Dark Wing Black Flame Sword for Su Zhenglong, and the display left Ning Jingjing and her 80,000 loyal Black Armor Warriors trembling as Su Zhenglong gained sudden insight.
Sikong Jing demonstrated his new Dark Wing Black Flame Sword, enabling Su Zhenglong to defeat the challengers and Ning Jingjing to regain the upper hand over Zhang Zhun’s forces. After Zhang Zhun challenged Sikong Jing’s right to interfere, Ning Jingjing ordered the rebels expelled from Sixty-Six Castle, and both sides prepared to fight.
Ning Jingjing’s eighty thousand warriors drove Zhang Zhun’s larger force out of Sixty-Six Castle, but Zhang Zhun called in General Fei and thirty thousand reinforcements. Fei Chian turned on Zhang Zhun instead, joining Ning Jingjing in a surprise attack as the battle descended into chaos.
Ning Jingjing’s forces routed Zhang Zhun’s troops after Fei Chian suddenly turned against him, and she recognized that Fei Chian’s betrayal was an act arranged by Sikong Jing. Sikong Jing then gave Ning Jingjing three versions of his newly created Dark Wing Black Flame Sword, including a high-level Cosmos-grade version.
Sikong Jing’s new Dark Wing Black Flame Sword helped Ning Jingjing and the Sixty-Sixth Legion’s deputy generals break through, while their troops continued to surround Zhang Zhun’s forces. Zhang Zhun’s complaint brought Beigong Xianfeng and Zhang Han to the forest, where Zhang Han prepared to confront Ning Jingjing.
Beigong Xianfeng inspected the new sword technique Ning Jingjing had introduced and recognized it as a powerful, tiered reconstruction of the Long Night Black Flame Sword. As Zhang Zhun and his supporters accused Ning Jingjing of rebellion and demanded punishment, Beigong asked whether an outsider had secretly taught her the technique, and Ning Jingjing confirmed it.
Sikong Jing met Commander Beigong Xianfeng, who welcomed him warmly despite Zhang Zhun and Zhang Han accusing him of privately teaching a sword technique. Beigong defended Sikong Jing and left with him to talk, leaving Zhang Zhun afraid of punishment.
Sikong Jing revealed his rapid cultivation and explained that his humanoid demon beast form could not reliably fight for the Long Night Black Burn Army because it might fall into demonic madness. He repaid Beigong Xianfeng by demonstrating the Dark Wing Black Flame Sword and offering an accessible version for the army.
Sikong Jing joined the Long Night Black Burn Army as the hidden first commander of the Dark Wing Camp, with Ning Jingjing as his deputy. After the new sword technique impressed the deputy commanders, Beigong Xianfeng uncovered Zhang Zhun’s corruption and ordered his execution.
After Beigong Xianfeng reorganized the army and Sikong Jing established plans for the Dark Wing Camp, Sikong Jing returned to Sixty-Six Town and learned that the conflict between Sacred Dragon Palace and Star Luo Palace had been suppressed through negotiations. He set out with Lang Yisuo to return to Sacred Dragon Palace, concerned about Qin Heng’s severe injuries and whether Baili Que had obtained the Thousand Cold Red Lotus Core for Su Yuexi.
Sikong Jing returned to Holy Dragon Palace with Lang Yisuo and discovered that Lei Zizhen had ordered the Great Crane Society attacked because of its connection to him. Sikong Jing rescued the society and revealed himself alive, leaving his enemies stunned.
Sikong Jing defeated Lei Zizhen’s apprentices and learned that Baili Que had been badly injured in Cold Flame Forest while seeking the Thousand Cold Red Lotus Core. He discovered that Lei Hongteng’s growing influence amid the Sacred Dragon Palace’s turmoil threatened the Great Crane Society, and Xu He urged him to check on Vice Palace Master Qin Heng and be ready to leave.
Sikong Jing and Lang Yisuo went to Fire Dragon Mountain to find Yu Yan and learn about the power struggle surrounding Qin Heng. After discovering Yu Yan had been confined, Sikong Jing demanded to see Fire Dragon Mountain's master, hoping to determine whether the mountain supported Lei Hongteng.
Sikong Jing sought an audience with the Fire Dragon Mountain Master, believing she was not responsible for Yu Yan’s imprisonment, and challenged the mountain to force a meeting. After defeating waves of students, including a Mystic Heaven First Realm fighter, he faced the outer academy instructors and demanded to see the academy master.
Sikong Jing concealed his identity and challenged Fire Dragon Mountain to force an audience with its secluded Head. After defeating hundreds of students, he rejected an offer of inner palace rank and demonstrated his cloud-attribute saber technique to pressure the mentors further.
Sikong Jing impressed Fire Dragon Mountain’s instructors with his strength and demanded to meet its master, while Lang Yisuo distracted the instructors left behind. Huo Yanmei emerged from seclusion, suspected Sikong Jing had been sent by Star Luo Palace, and left Instructor Shi fearing she had helped an enemy reach the wounded master.
Sikong Jing revealed his identity and explained why Yu Yan’s confinement put her in danger, convincing Huo Yanmei that Lei Hongteng was maneuvering to become vice palace lord. Huo Yanmei verified Liu Shan’s support for Lei and openly objected, but Liu Shan answered with a surge of hostile aura.
Sikong Jing used his Fire Dragon meridian energy to heal Huo Yanmei as Liu Shan attacked her courtyard. Huo Yanmei recovered, struck Liu Shan down, and confronted him.
Huo Yanmei recovered and forced Liu Shan to help her deceive Lei Hongteng while she moved against his supporters. Meanwhile, Yu Yan remained imprisoned as Lu Fenglan prepared to punish her and revealed that Lei Hongteng planned to eliminate everyone connected to Sikong Jing.
Sikong Jing entered the Fire Dragon Mountain inner court and confronted Lu Shan and Lu Fenglan while Yu Yan was held captive. He fought Lu Shan with his Darkflow Sky-Reflecting Claws and prepared to unleash the Blood-Devouring Three Claws.
Sikong Jing defeated Lu Shan with his newly created Blood Devour claws, while Mentor Shi intervened before his final attack and then sided with him. After Sikong Jing killed Lu Shan and Yu Yan was freed, he revealed that Liu Shan had already been dealt with and Huo Yanmei was purging Fire Dragon Mountain.
