Sikong Jing asked Lang Yisuo to obtain an Extraordinary Realm demon beast so he could destroy the Long Night Imperial Capital’s leading aristocratic family. Meanwhile, Yan Ruyu identified Sikong Jing as Dark Wing, but Ji Tan rejected her claim and began listing reasons it could not be true.
Ji Tan dismissed Yan Ruyu’s belief that Sikong Jing was Dark Wing and warned her to prove her worth. Meanwhile, Eunuch Zou misled Ji Shengmang about Dark Wing’s departure from the Long Night Black Burn Army, leaving the emperor wary that Dark Wing might join the War Soul Dynasty.
Ji Shengmang concealed his suspicions about Sikong Jing while pretending to condemn him, then learned Sikong Jing would challenge the Peng Family and decided to watch. At the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion, Sikong Jing effortlessly subdued an untamable Night Shadow Mad Wolf.
Sikong Jing gave the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace a new sword technique and prepared to challenge the Peng Family while the palace faced an invasion by Star Luo Grand Academy. As the battle approached, the Ning Family arrived at the Peng Family’s banquet, where Dowager Lady Ning falsely claimed Sikong Jing had abducted her granddaughter.
Ji Tingyue and Star Luo Grand Academy gathered at the Peng Family to confront Sikong Jing, while the Ning Family argued over whether to support him. The emperor and Hua Lidian arrived to watch, and the chapter ended with news that Sikong Jing had come alone on a demon wolf.
Sikong Jing arrived alone at the Peng Family estate on a tamed Night Shadow Mad Wolf and challenged Ji Tingyue to a one-on-one fight. After he chose to fight on foot and threatened Bai Changwu, two Star Luo Grand Academy elders headed for the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace Eighth Branch Academy, leaving Sikong Jing and Ji Tingyue to face off.
Sikong Jing fought Ji Tingyue, who sought revenge for Peng Peng, and revealed he had reached the Dao General Realm. After Bai Changwu insulted Sikong Jing’s wife, Sikong Jing defeated Ji Tingyue with one spear strike and asked Hua Lidian not to record it.
Sikong Jing abandoned his fight with Ji Tingyue to attack Bai Changwu after Bai insulted Yue Xi, and used the Night Shadow Mad Wolf to overpower him. The chapter left Bai Changwu struggling to defend himself while Ji Tan coveted Huang Yu’s untamed wolf.
Sikong Jing killed Bai Changwu and fought off the combined forces of Star Luo Grand Academy and the Peng Family while mounted on the Night Shadow Mad Wolf. The attackers retreated, and Sikong Jing declared that the Long Night Imperial Capital would have no more six great families.
Sikong Jing kept slaughtering the Peng Family while Star Luo Academy’s elders confronted Long Night Holy Dragon Palace. Shen Qingye, Tan Yue, and a Soul-Reversal Realm Seven-Elephant Heavenly Dragon revealed their strength, and Sikong Jing killed the Star Luo mentor after Ji Shengmang refused to intervene.
Sikong Jing defeated the Peng Family’s resistance, killed Ning Shouye after he threatened Ning Shouzhi, and spared Dowager Lady Ning before finishing Peng Lingcheng and Ji Tingyue. The Star Luo Academy elders then suffered defeat, leaving the academy’s remaining forces warned to withdraw from the Long Night Imperial Capital.
Ji Shengmang rescued Sikong Jing from the Peng Family estate, and Sikong Jing revealed that Ji Tan had concealed Beigong Xianfeng’s survival and cause of death. They planned how to reach Beigong’s tomb without alerting Ji Tan, ending with Sikong Jing proposing to pass off a student’s corpse as a fake Dark Wing.
Sikong Jing arranged to disguise a dead Star Luo Grand Academy student and stage Dark Wing’s death at Beigong Xianfeng’s tomb. The ruse ended with Huang Yu and Eunuch Zou believing Sikong Jing had killed Dark Wing, though the corpse’s transformation was still underway.
Sikong Jing and Ji Shengmang concealed Beigong Xianfeng’s survival while Huang Yu and Eunuch Zou believed Dark Wing had been killed. Yao Changeng treated Beigong Xianfeng in the tomb, and the old marshal awoke.
Beigong Xianfeng learned that he had returned from the dead and heard Sikong Jing’s account of the war in the Twelve Prefectures of the Gloom Plains. Ji Shengmang kept the resurrection secret for now, while Ji Tan sent a corpse he believed was Dark Wing to Youye Prefecture City to undermine the Long Night Black Burn Army.
Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi strolled through the Long Night Imperial Capital as people debated his prospects and the dangers facing him. When the Worry-Forget Sect attacked Beigong Xianfeng’s family for supposedly deceiving its Sect Master, Sikong Jing stepped forward to demand their release.
Sikong Jing intervened when the Worry-Forget Sect tried to exterminate Beigong Xianfeng’s family, but the Sect’s Dao Inquiry Realm woman trapped him and attacked. He took control of the Sect’s Ice Soul Cold Eagles, freed himself, and wounded the woman, leaving the battle unresolved.
Sikong Jing killed the Worry-Forget Sect attackers and urged Beigong Da to take his clan to the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace Eighth Branch Academy for protection. After Sikong Jing fled to hide his beastly aura, the Steel Bone Flying Vulture arrived and began hunting for him.
Sikong Jing captured the Steel Bone Flying Vulture and began draining its blood, using the power of his Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts bloodline to absorb it and break through a minor realm. The Steel Bone Flying Vulture, terrified after losing a fifth of its blood, begged him to stop, and Sikong Jing asked if it would submit.
Sikong Jing forced the Steel Bone Flying Vulture to submit by draining its blood and exposing it to the terrifying beasts inside his Ten Thousand Beasts Heavenly Prison. He bound the vulture by marking its inner core, leaving Shen Qingye and the others stunned and asking how he had done it.
Sikong Jing decided to travel to the War Soul Dynasty after learning that the medicine needed to restore Beigong Xianfeng could only be obtained from its Imperial Preceptor or Star Luo Grand Academy. The chapter left Ji Shengmang facing the danger of exposing Ji Tan’s treason without a strong enough case.
Sikong Jing departed the Long Night Imperial Capital after secretly planning with Ji Shengmang and Beigong Xianfeng to let Cheng Yusui take control before striking back. At Youye Prefecture City, Cheng Yusui claimed Dark Wing had been killed for attempting to assassinate the emperor, but Sikong Jing appeared alive and offered to prove the charge was true.
Sikong Jing revealed himself to the Long Night Black Burn Army, helped Cheng Yusui secure control of the troops, then accused him of using Sikong Jing’s name to cause Beigong Xianfeng’s death. After striking Cheng Yusui and killing ten guards, Sikong Jing secretly signaled Ning Jingjing and flew toward the War Soul Dynasty, leaving Cheng Yusui ordering the army to shoot him down.
Sikong Jing struck Cheng Yusui, then secretly instructed Ning Jingjing and Cao Yi to conceal the Dark Wing Camp and await his return. Cheng Yusui began taking control of the Long Night Black Burn Army, but his demand for the Dark Wing Camp to step forward met silence.
Cheng Yusui tried to bring Dark Wing Camp under his command, then sent the Long Night Army toward Ghost Soul Prefecture City to test his officers’ loyalty. Sikong Jing prepared to welcome Dark Wing Camp into the War Soul Dynasty, while Lu Lingun ordered defenses against Cheng Yusui’s advance.
