Background / History

Mount Shu is a major righteous sacred land with a foundation far deeper than its public hierarchy suggests. Though its Seven Main Peaks are nominally run by their respective Peak Masters, each peak is backed by a Tribulation Transcendence ancestor who holds its true authority. The Sect Leader’s Seven Stars Peak exists separately from the Seven Main Peaks but may participate in the Seven Peaks Grand Competition. 319 386 442

Chen Yuan, the Headmaster, is a Tribulation Transcendence cultivator and resides on Seven Stars Peak. His acceptance of Chen Changqing as a closed-door disciple—and proposed appointment of him as the Eleventh Sequence Holy Son—provoked opposition from the Seven Main Peaks’ helmsmen. Their compromise required Chen Changqing to clear the Heavenly Pass, which he accomplished. 110 123 125 442

Mount Shu’s prestige rises sharply through Chen Changqing’s achievements: his defeat of Golden Core cultivator Bai Hao while still in Core Formation, his ascension to first place on the Azure Dragon Ranking, and his later triumph in the Seven Peaks Grand Competition.
