Background / History

Luo Qingchen began cultivation under Tian Feng while trapped in a master-slave relationship. With little access to resources, he practiced basic stances and fists, sought to reuse medicinal-bath remnants with his own blood, and later sold blood to fund his training and recover the Ten-Soul Banner containing his younger sister A-Yun's soul 7 20 23.

His early survival was marked by escalating violence. He killed Zhang Dashan in a life-or-death struggle, absorbed blood from the corpse, and was assigned as a guard at the Hundred Fragrance Pavilion in Medicine Man Town 12. While working there, he endured repeated bloodletting by Tian Feng, investigated the pavilion's dangers, and cultivated obsessively in an effort to escape his master's control 26 30 44 51.

After breaking through to the Blood Changing Realm, Luo Qingchen became an official disciple of the Demon Controlling Sect and entered the outer sect at Black Phoenix Peak 58 60. He subsequently acquired A-Yao as his Blood Medicine, trained in the Black Phoenix Demonic Art, and protected her from senior disciples who intended to use her as a medicinal ingredient 68 71 74.

Luo Qingchen advanced rapidly through blood-based cultivation, combat, and medicinal baths. Following his breakthrough to the Spirit Nourishing Realm, he killed Steward Qiu Ye and her subordinates when they attempted to force him into a debt contract and prostitution arrangement 103 104. His rise made him feared throughout the outer sect; after reaching the Force Realm, disciples who had once threatened him addressed him as “Senior Brother” 127 129.

Luo Qingchen is cautious, resourceful, and intensely focused on survival. He plans around threats—switching rooms, laying traps, concealing his intentions, and using contracts or sect rules when they can protect him 20 103.

He is capable of extreme ruthlessness, particularly when threatened or when cultivation resources are at stake. He has killed opponents, drained their blood, and eliminated those who attempted to exploit him 43 97 104 131.
