Looking at the blue interface floating before him, Raditz pondered how to utilize this cheat.
[Planet Check-in System] [Host: Raditz] [Current Planet: Earth] [Check-in Tasks: 3. Please select and complete one to receive the corresponding reward. (Details)] [Evaluation: A planet with mediocre opportunities. A hellish start?]
"Planet Check-in System? Does checking in really grant rewards?"
Raditz felt a sense of inexplicable awe. He tapped on the system's task details, and three task summaries immediately appeared.
[Task 1: Saiyan Orphan]
[Objective: Obtain a Saiyan sample existing on Earth.]
[Hint: The young low-class warrior Kakarot was sent to a frontier planet for a mission and has yet to return. Defeat him, and you shall be the new low-class warrior!]
[Reward: Saiyan Bloodline]
[Difficulty: S+]
[Task 2: Martial Arts Grandmaster]
[Objective: Become a student of Earth's "God of Martial Arts" and earn his recognition.]
[Hint: In the vast ocean, an isolated island stands alone. An old man lives overseas, never parting with his turtle shell.]
[Reward: Inherit the "God of Martial Arts'" talent and lifelong martial arts]
[Difficulty: A]
[Task 3: The Beginning of Dragon Balls]
[Objective: Collect one Dragon Ball on Earth.]
[Hint: Legend says seven wish-granting stars are scattered across multiple universes, impossible to find. Perhaps their imitations are easier to locate than the originals.]
[Reward: Seed of Miracles]
[Difficulty: B]
Raditz took a deep breath.
The three task objectives were all very clear; they were people and items he was familiar with.
Sun Wukong, Master Roshi, and the Dragon Balls. Basically, finding one would lead to the others.
What made his heart race were the corresponding rewards.
The Saiyan bloodline meant a ceiling for combat power.
The martial arts grandmaster's inheritance meant a solid foundation for training.
Compared to the first two rewards, the Seed of Miracles seemed somewhat vague.
Raditz leaned toward completing the first task. In the Dragon Ball world, one needed combat power before anything else.
However, with his current small frame, going head-to-head with Goku—if he were to take a single punch...
As if imagining a terrifying scene, Raditz shook his head, dispelling the image from his mind.
"I'd better find him first."
Raditz looked at the ruins of the Red Ribbon Army headquarters before him, recalling the plot of the original work.
"Goku should be at the point where he just destroyed the Red Ribbon Army."
According to the plot, Goku and his companions would go to Fortune Teller Baba to seek the location of the final Dragon Ball, and to gain her help, they would have to spar against the experts she brought in.
"Goku will fight his grandfather, Son Gohan, and have his tail pulled off during the battle. This is a good opportunity."
Raditz made a prompt decision and dashed toward the gate of the ruins.
"I must meet up with them quickly, or if I miss them, who knows where Fortune Teller Baba is?"
Fortunately, after running for only a short while, Raditz spotted a group of people standing not far away.
A spiky-haired child, an old man wearing sunglasses, a beautiful girl, and a bald young monk—their features were distinct.
Goku also noticed him, a person wearing a Red Ribbon Army uniform, running over, and immediately pulled out his Power Pole.
"More enemies?"
"Don't attack, don't attack, I..." Before Raditz could finish his sentence, he saw a bald youth flash in front of him.
"Haha, Goku, you really are careless. There's still a straggler here," Krillin grinned. "Leave him to me; it'll make the long trip to help you worth it."
Before the words had even faded, he threw a punch.
"Pfft!"
A tiny fist contained immense power.
Raditz felt as if he had been struck by a truck; his body flew backward as he spat out a mouthful of blood.
I miscalculated... Raditz's vision dimmed, and he lost consciousness.
"Huh? He's this weak?"
Just as Krillin was feeling puzzled, his bald head was immediately struck by a fist.
"Bang!"
"Ouch! Bulma, what are you doing!"
Bulma, who had trotted over, retracted her iron fist and said crossly, "Why didn't you wait for him to finish speaking?"
"This guy's clothes don't fit him at all, and he looks about the same age as Sun Wukong. He doesn't look like someone from the Red Ribbon Army at all."
"Uh..."
Krillin scratched his head in embarrassment, his eyes darting around. "I was just trying to help Sun Wukong, I was a bit too eager."
As he spoke, he stood beside Sun Wukong and patted his shoulder, attempting to gloss over the situation.
"But if he isn't a bad guy, and Krillin beat him to death, wouldn't that be killing an innocent person?"
Sun Wukong's naive words struck Krillin's heart like a sharp sword.
"No, that won't happen. I can use the Dragon Balls to revive him," Krillin quickly added.
"Stop blathering, he's still breathing!"
Bulma crouched down and cautiously checked Raditz's breath.
"Krillin, come over and help. Carry him to Kame House; there's medicine there. If we don't treat him, he'll be in real danger. Besides, I need to repair the Dragon Radar for Sun Wukong anyway."
"Alright."
Krillin walked over dejectedly and resignedly hoisted Raditz onto his back.
"Where is this? Who am I? What am I doing?"
Waking up once more, Raditz stared at the unfamiliar ceiling and asked himself the three existential questions.
"It's over, Krillin, you beat him stupid."
A girl's mischievous giggle reached his ears. Raditz's consciousness cleared completely, and as he looked at the group of people surrounding him, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
I didn't expect them to actually bring me back. I suppose this is a blessing in disguise.
"You're awake? Do you remember who you are?" Bulma asked softly, while curious gazes turned toward him.
Raditz steadied himself and looked at the bright, beautiful girl before him.
He then replied with his prepared script: "Yes, my name is Raditz. I was someone imprisoned by the Red Ribbon Army."
"Ah! Why did they imprison you?" Sun Wukong's eyes widened upon hearing that Raditz had been a prisoner.
"Because of this." Raditz raised his right hand.
The metallic texture of his palm made everyone frown.
"I was imprisoned by a doctor in an underground laboratory. He modified me to be a weapon," Raditz paused for a moment before continuing, "That laboratory was located beneath the Red Ribbon Army headquarters."
"Human experimentation?" Bulma's expression darkened. "That's too dangerous, and it's related to the evil army that Sun Wukong wiped out. Do you know his name?"
"Yes."
Raditz recalled the doctor's declaration of revenge; it was almost certainly Dr. Gero.
Weighing the pros and cons, he decided not to hide it.
"I believe his name is Dr. Gero. When he left the laboratory, he said some things about taking revenge on Sun Wukong. I only managed to escape after he left."
"By the time I got out, the Red Ribbon Army had already been destroyed."
"You must be the one who destroyed the army, right? Thank you for saving me." Raditz looked toward Sun Wukong.
"Hahaha, so that's how it is." Sun Wukong rubbed the back of his head and laughed heartily. "I saw you wearing their clothes and thought you were a bad guy. No need to thank me; my name is Sun Wukong, you can just call me Wukong."
Sun Wukong was happy to have accidentally saved an innocent person.
"I'm Bulma, and this is Krillin and Yamcha..."
Bulma also expressed sympathy for Raditz's plight and enthusiastically introduced her companions.
"Sorry, I mistook you for someone else too. It's all my fault, hahaha." Krillin stepped forward, explaining with some embarrassment.
Bulma rolled her eyes. "That's because you were too quick to strike!"
"It's fine, it was just a misunderstanding." Raditz waved his hand, even though his chest still ached faintly.
"So, Raditz, what are your plans for the future?" Bulma asked.
"My memory is a bit chaotic. I don't know how long I was held by Dr. Gero, and I don't know where my home is..."
Raditz was telling the truth; he genuinely did not know anything about the original owner of this body.
Only fragmented memories suggested that the original owner shared his name, Raditz, and bore a striking resemblance to his own appearance in his past life.
"Why don't you just stay here for now?" Bulma suggested.
"That Dr. Gero has disappeared somewhere, and if you stay here, everyone can protect you."
"Bulma is right. Since that doctor spoke of revenge, he will surely come looking for Goku. If we are all together, we can look out for one another." After saying this, Krillin turned to Master Roshi, who was contentedly flipping through an obscure magazine, and asked, "Master Roshi, is that alright?"
"Hehehe..."
Master Roshi was so immersed in his art that he didn't notice the deadpan stares gradually focusing on him.
Bam!
"Eek!!"
"Bulma, what kind of fit are you throwing now?"
Retracting her fist of justice, a large, vein-like cross appeared on Bulma's forehead.
"You perverted old man, stop being a bad influence on the kids!"
Understanding everyone's intentions, Master Roshi found it difficult to refuse.
He adjusted his sunglasses and looked at Raditz. "You may stay, but everyone here has their own tasks. You will need to take care of yourself."
"That's fine, I can take care of myself. I can also help you all with cooking, cleaning, and shopping for supplies..."
Raditz quickly stated his position, appearing extremely enthusiastic.
A hellish start? This was a perfect start!
He had successfully infiltrated the protagonist's group. At this moment, the completion conditions for all three of his tasks were nearly met; he only needed to obtain a DNA sample from Goku or apprentice under Master Roshi to finish them.
As for the Dragon Balls, they were resting quietly on a table not far away—and there were six of them!
Master Roshi remained noncommittal toward Raditz's passionate declaration, silently continuing to look at the magazine in his hands, though a flicker of suspicion crossed his eyes behind his gleaming sunglasses.
"Then it's settled," Bulma decided. "Raditz, you can just settle in and stay here for now."
