Two years later.
Age 755.
The time spent training at Kami's Lookout passed quietly amidst day after day of sitting, meditation, and various forms of training.
Raditz's growth was visible to the naked eye.
If measured with a Scouter, Raditz's full-power combat strength could reach over ten thousand—a twenty-fold increase from before!
Moreover, during these two years, Raditz had also entered the most mysterious place on Kami's Lookout: the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
The extreme environment inside—half as scorching as a furnace, half as frigid as the poles—combined with the boundless, pure white void, brought immense burden and mental pressure, serving as a terrifying test for both body and mind.
Even with his current willpower, he had only managed to hold out for half a year.
Yet, the effects of that half-year of grueling "indoor" training were equivalent to several years in the outside world.
The violent, external, and slightly rough aura he possessed at the start had now become calm and restrained.
He had gained finer control over his own ki, allowing him to release or suppress his energy at will, with its circulation flowing without obstruction.
"Kami, Mr. Popo," Raditz said, approaching the two and bowing respectfully. "I have benefited greatly from your two years of guidance."
"According to what you said, Kami, Piccolo will appear at the next World Martial Arts Tournament, and there is only one year left now."
"I intend to descend to the world below to train alone and prepare for the coming battle."
Kami looked at Raditz, whose temperament was steady and gaze calm, his eyes revealing undisguised approval and a hint of amazement.
In just two years, his progress had far exceeded expectations. He could no longer see through the true strength of the young man before him.
At a glance, his aura seemed much the same as it had been two years ago, but the Raditz of the past hadn't known how to suppress his aura at all; things were different now.
"Your foundation is already extremely solid, and your direction is correct," Kami nodded slowly. "I truly have nothing left to teach you; you need only continue training as you have been."
"However..." his expression turned solemn, "Piccolo has been growing in the shadows. While he wouldn't dare come to Kami's Lookout, once you descend, he will very likely seize the opportunity to seek his revenge. I believe you are strong enough to handle him with your current power, but do not be careless."
"I understand," Raditz replied earnestly. He turned to look at Goku, who intended to stay behind to continue his training.
"Raditz, let's have a proper fight the next time we meet." Goku walked up and bumped fists with Raditz, extending an invitation once more.
Although they had officially sparred a few times during their spare time over the past two years, Goku had been defeated every single time.
He didn't get discouraged by the repeated losses, often sneaking in extra training sessions alone during his breaks.
Even though he still couldn't match Raditz, his martial arts were progressing rapidly.
"Sure," Raditz readily agreed. After a moment of silence, he added mysteriously, "I can give you a piece of advice: you should eat more of the Senzu Beans I gave you, and try to eat them specifically when you are on the verge of death."
"Really? Will that make me as strong as you?" Goku asked curiously.
"Just try it and you'll see."
"Goodbye."
Raditz bid them farewell once more, walked to the edge of the Lookout's plaza, and leaped off. After two years of training, his Flight Technique had long since reached perfection.
With a thought, Raditz dove rapidly downward, and before long, he arrived at Korin Tower.
"Korin, Yajirobe, long time no see."
Raditz landed lightly inside the tower and saw the cat and the man.
"Raditz, you've changed a lot, you guy," Yajirobe said, surprised to see the person who had suddenly flown down.
"Indeed, quite a lot. Looking at you now, it seems you've gained a great deal from your training with Kami," Korin said, stroking his whiskers with a look of affirmation on his face.
"Hahaha, it's alright," Raditz said, rubbing the back of his head. "I came this time because I wanted to ask you for some Senzu Beans, Korin. I've just about run out of the ones I had before."
This was a lie.
Previously, he had eaten some of the jar of Senzu Beans Korin had given him and given some to Goku, but he had only consumed a small portion.
But Raditz remembered that there was a "tank" named Yajirobe living here.
If he didn't ask for them now, he might be left waiting empty-handed the next time he ran out.
By then, the annual production would only be a stingy few beans.
Would he have to split a single Senzu Bean in two just to use it?
"I do have a few jars left, I can give them to you," Korin replied readily. "I only need to keep a portion for myself."
"That's fantastic." Raditz excitedly took the jars handed to him and quickly stored the nearly one thousand Senzu Beans into a Hoi-Poi Capsule.
With this, he would never have to worry about a shortage of Senzu Beans again; these would last him for a very long time.
After saying goodbye to Korin, Raditz flew rapidly toward Kame House Island.
He hadn't seen everyone in two years and missed them quite a bit; he wondered if they were still at home.
With that thought, he increased his speed, carving a white arc through the clouds ahead.
Kame House.
At this moment, Master Roshi was alone in his room.
He sat cross-legged on the floor, his eyes burning as he stared at the television screen in front of him.
On the screen, several young girls dressed in revealing outfits were energetically performing aerobics with great passion.
Dazzling, long, snow-white legs danced lightly to the rhythm.
"Hehehe... this one is good, this figure is truly great! This one is also fine, her smile is so pretty!" Master Roshi watched, completely mesmerized, unaware even when the sunglasses on his face fell to the floor, a suspicious trail of drool even leaking from his mouth.
"I'm back."
Raditz pushed open the door to Kame House, only to see the television playing its "wonderful" program and Master Roshi inching closer and closer to the screen.
"Oh! This move! This flexibility!" Master Roshi, completely oblivious to anyone entering, exclaimed while watching, his nosebleed threatening to break its dam.
"Ahem!" Raditz gave a light cough.
"Who?!" Master Roshi jolted violently, grabbing the remote with incredible speed and clicking the TV off. The room instantly fell silent.
He snatched the sunglasses from the floor, put them on, wiped the corner of his mouth, and turned around with a completely different expression on his face, as if the old man drooling at the screen a moment ago were someone else entirely.
"Oh, it's Raditz, you're back?" He cleared his throat and feigned composure as he sized Raditz up. "Hmm... your energy is much steadier; it seems your time at Kami's Lookout wasn't wasted. How were the results of your training?"
"The gains were significant." Raditz suppressed a smile, walked over to sit down, and pretended he hadn't seen what just happened.
"What about Goku? That kid didn't come back with you?" Master Roshi changed the subject.
"He's still at Kami's Lookout, planning to do more training. I felt I had done enough, so I came down first," Raditz replied. "Master Mutten, where are the others? Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Bulma?"
"They've all gone off to train on their own." Master Roshi took a sip of tea, his tone somewhat wistful. "After Shenron brought everyone back, they all found out about you two training with Kami. Krillin, Yamcha, and the others were probably spurred on by it; they all ran off to find places to train hard. Bulma went back to West City, too."
He paused and looked at Raditz. "They're all holding onto a drive. It seems you two have put quite a bit of pressure on them."
Raditz nodded silently. He could certainly understand that.
After chatting a bit more about their current situations, Raditz stood up. "Master Mutten, I plan to go to West City to see Bulma and ask if she has any new equipment or anything like that..."
"Leaving already?" Master Roshi raised an eyebrow, feigning bitterness. "Prioritizing the opposite sex over your own kind, I suppose visiting this old man was just an afterthought. Go on, go on, it's just as well so I can continue enjoying my... er, health and wellness program."
He waved his hand with a look of feigned annoyance.
Raditz chuckled, bid him farewell once more, and turned to leave Kame House.
As soon as the door closed, the music of the aerobics program and Master Roshi's lecherous "hehe" laughter immediately filled the room again.
