Could it be Thanos's intellect?

Tony Stark still remembered Thanos saying in the Memory Copy that he, too, was cursed with knowledge.

Though Tony seriously suspected that Thanos was just boasting, he could not deny that Thanos, with his lofty ideals, absolute purity, and willingness to sacrifice his life, truly might possess it.

But so what if Thanos's intellect was on the same level as his?

In the Memory Copy, when facing Thanos, who barely needed to think and could utterly crush them through sheer strength, had Tony not been just as helpless?

Surely Thanos could not stage a comeback with nothing but intellect and no strength, could he?

Just how much did that underestimate Aizen, Heathcliff, Bai Xuan, and Tony himself?

"So where is this feeling of tension and unease coming from?"
