"What happened to those Dragon Balls?" Sun Wukong hurriedly asked.

"Those Dragon Balls? Which Dragon Balls do you mean?" The Guardian looked a little confused, but still explained truthfully. "Didn't the Dragon Balls already grant your wish and bring you back to life? The Dragon Balls have turned to stone now!"

"No... I mean the Dragon Balls you made before you became the Guardian, before you separated from Piccolo," Sun Wukong answered.

The Guardian was clearly stunned and seemed unable to process what he'd heard.

"Where are those Dragon Balls now? Are they still at the Lookout?" Sun Wukong asked.

"What are you talking about, Goku?" The Guardian was genuinely baffled. "Those are the very Dragon Balls that brought you back to life!"

"Huh? No way. Are you saying... these two kinds of Dragon Balls are the same?" Sun Wukong scratched his head, looking confused.

"They aren't two kinds of Dragon Balls. There's only one!" the Guardian replied. "I only made one set. Whether it was before I separated from Piccolo or after, there was only ever one set of Dragon Balls!"

"Only one set?" Sun Wukong couldn't make sense of it, and asked again, "Then there aren't any Dragon Balls with black stars inside?"

"No..." The Guardian looked even more puzzled. "What's wrong, Goku? Why are you asking?"

"Well..." Sun Wukong scratched his head, utterly bewildered.

Could my reincarnation have caused this timeline to change?

Future Trunks had once said that there was one timeline where I died of a heart virus, and another where I survived.

Maybe things really did change because I was reincarnated in this timeline.

But that doesn't make sense!

If I'd been reincarnated before the Guardian separated from Piccolo, it would make sense for the Dragon Balls to have changed.

But... I was reincarnated at this point in time. The Black Star Dragon Balls should still exist.

"Mr. Popo, do you remember the Black Star Dragon Balls?" Sun Wukong glanced at Mr. Popo, who stood behind the Guardian. His eyes lit up, and he hurriedly asked.

"No... The Guardian only made that one set of Dragon Balls. There's never been any such thing as Black Star Dragon Balls," Mr. Popo replied, shaking his head with a baffled look.

"Okay... I understand. I'll be going now!" Sun Wukong took a deep breath, pressed his index and middle fingers together, and placed them against his forehead.

The Supreme Kai and Kibito were monitoring what was happening on Earth from the surface of the Sacred World of the Kai.

"Supreme Kai, it's a good thing that the Saiyan named Vegeta and Sun Wukong are fighting far away from Majin Buu's seal. They won't affect it at all," Kibito said, breathing a little easier.

"Yes, that puts my mind at ease," the Supreme Kai said with a nod.

"So the Saiyan prince Vegeta really lost to that Saiyan named Sun Wukong," Kibito remarked in amazement. "I have to admit, Supreme Kai... this Saiyan named Sun Wukong looks pretty strong! Especially that transformation where his whole body glows gold!"

"That's right!" The Supreme Kai smiled faintly, then shook his head. "But unfortunately, he's still far too weak compared to Majin Buu."

"Forget Majin Buu. He wouldn't stand a chance against us, either," Kibito said with a confident smile.

"After all, he's only human. It's hard for him to surpass a true god," the Supreme Kai said with a smile. Then he sighed, his spirits sinking. "Unfortunately, Majin Buu is stronger than we are!"

"Supreme Kai, should we move Majin Buu somewhere else?" Kibito suggested. "When Majin Buu was on Earth before, humanity had only just appeared! But Earth's technology is highly advanced now, and there are Saiyans on the planet, too... I'm worried that if his seal is subjected to a violent impact, he might escape."

"I'd like to move him somewhere else, too, but doing so could cause a major disturbance during the transfer and release him from his seal ahead of time," the Supreme Kai said gravely, shaking his head. "What?" Kibito's pupils suddenly shrank. His face changed, and he stared blankly at Sun Wukong, who had appeared behind the Supreme Kai.

"Kibito, I mean we'd better not move Majin Buu for now. It's safer to leave him where he is," the Supreme Kai repeated, thinking Kibito hadn't understood him.

"Th-this... How is this possible? This is the true world of the gods!" Kibito was utterly stunned, his jaw nearly dropping to the ground as he stared in disbelief.

When he saw Sun Wukong standing behind him, the Supreme Kai's eyes widened in disbelief as well.

"Ah... hello, Supreme Kai, Kibito," Sun Wukong said with a smile, waving at them. He scratched his head and laughed. "Hahaha, it's a little strange seeing you two apart!"

Supreme Kai: "????"

Kibito: "????"

The two of them were completely baffled.

"Sun Wukong!" The Supreme Kai stared blankly at him, unable to stop himself from saying his name.

"Huh? Supreme Kai, do you already know who I am at this point?" Sun Wukong asked, rubbing his head in surprise.

"How did you get here?" Kibito asked with a frown.

"Well... I remember it being over there... I'll go take a look!" Sun Wukong pointed to a towering cliff in the distance and immediately flew toward it.

Kibito: "..."

"I'm talking to you! Are you even listening?" Kibito's face darkened.

The Supreme Kai and Kibito immediately exchanged glances. They suddenly realized that Sun Wukong was flying toward the Z Sword.

"What's he trying to do? Is he thinking of pulling out the Z Sword?" Kibito snapped out of it at once.

"Let's go and see," the Supreme Kai said thoughtfully. Then he muttered in puzzlement, "How does he know about the Z Sword?"

Kibito looked just as confused.

The two of them hurried after him.

Sun Wukong landed on the cliff where the Z Sword was embedded and immediately spotted its hilt, sunk deep into the rock.

"So this is the Z Sword!" Sun Wukong took a deep breath.

"I'm not sure how you learned about the Z Sword... but from the looks of it, you want to pull it out, don't you?" Kibito said with a faint smile. "You're dreaming if you think you can. Don't assume that defeating Vegeta means you can pull out the Z Sword! This sword is so firmly lodged that even I can't budge it—and neither can the Supreme Kai!"
