Old Supreme Kai: Frieza Got Stronger?

"Rumble..."

In an instant, Frieza's tremendous energy blew the small island straight underwater.

The island became an endless lake.

The water surged, and spray flew everywhere.

Frieza's pupils contracted slightly, and he furrowed his brow.

He had clearly seen that before his attack struck Sun Wukong, the Saiyans had vanished with all the others.

But then Frieza looked with interest at Piccolo, who was hovering in the air.

That guy hadn't left!

"Namekian, you're pretty brave, aren't you? You actually chose to stay behind." Frieza looked at Piccolo with a smile.

Piccolo's expression grew even more solemn.

I miscalculated!

I should've left with them just now.

This guy called Frieza is even more terrifying than I imagined.

"Whoosh!"

In an instant, Sun Wukong had brought Son Gohan and the others to the Sacred World of the Kai.

"Kibito!" As soon as Sun Wukong returned, he shouted at Kibito.

Kibito: "..."

Kibito was taken aback. He hurried forward and saw Yamcha lying on the ground, twitching uncontrollably.

"Quick, Kibito, help heal him!" Sun Wukong urged.

Kibito's face darkened.

You really don't hold back, do you?

Kibito didn't object, though, and started toward Yamcha to heal him.

"Let Dende do it instead," the Grand Elder suddenly said. "Dende may be young, but he's a very talented Namekian!"

Dende: "????"

Dende looked utterly bewildered.

"Dende?" Sun Wukong froze, then broke into a delighted smile.

Sun Wukong knew Dende, of course. After all, in his previous life, the two of them had gotten along quite well.

Yamcha: "..."

Can you heal me first and switch people afterward?

I'm in a lot of pain here!

I feel like I'm about to die.

"Dende, come over here." The Grand Elder glanced at Yamcha and saw that although his injuries were severe, he wouldn't die anytime soon.

"Yes... Grand Elder!" Dende hurried over to the Grand Elder.

The Grand Elder gently placed a hand on Dende's head, and an invisible, mysterious power quickly enveloped him.

In an instant, the Grand Elder fully awakened Dende's latent energy.

Dende clenched his fists, his expression serious, and appeared beside Yamcha. Healing light flared in his hands and covered Yamcha's body.

Soon, Yamcha's injuries healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Gohan, Krillin, and the others watched Dende treat Yamcha in astonishment. They marveled, commented on it, and praised him nonstop.

Yamcha's mouth twitched as cold sweat poured down his face.

Could you not talk right now?

I feel like I've become the star patient in some massive surgery.

"Gohan, Krillin, stay here for now!" Seeing that Yamcha was all right, Sun Wukong immediately spoke to Son Gohan and the others.

"Okay, Dad. But Uncle Piccolo is still on Namek," Son Gohan said anxiously.

"I'm going!" After saying that, Sun Wukong used Instant Transmission and disappeared again.

After Sun Wukong left, Old Supreme Kai, Supreme Kai, Kibito, and the many Namekians gathered around and asked what had happened.

Hadn't Sun Wukong been so confident he could beat that guy called Frieza?

Then how had someone still gotten hurt?

"Goku said that for some reason, that guy called Frieza seemed to have suddenly gotten stronger." Krillin rubbed his bald head and repeated what Sun Wukong had just said.

"Maybe Goku didn't know Frieza's true strength..." Tien Shinhan sighed.

"That was terrifying, absolutely terrifying!" Yamcha was still shaken. "That Universe Emperor, Frieza, is ridiculously powerful. Standing before him, I was like a tiny ant. I couldn't resist at all."

After hearing Krillin and the others explain, Supreme Kai found it hard to believe.

But soon, Supreme Kai smiled confidently, as if it didn't matter.

After all, in his eyes, Sun Wukong's Super Saiyan transformation would surely be more than enough to defeat Frieza.

"Is that so? Even Goku said that? That's strange." Old Supreme Kai paced back and forth across the ground, thinking hard. Then he pulled a crystal ball out of his pants and casually set it on a rock.

Seeing Old Supreme Kai do that, Krillin and the others stared wide-eyed in disbelief.

How did you pull such a big crystal ball out of your pants?

Old Supreme Kai held both hands above the crystal ball and chanted under his breath.

"Pop!"

An image appeared inside the crystal ball.

It showed Frieza and the others on Namek.

Krillin and the others immediately craned their necks to look.

Who would've thought this rather improper old man had such powerful abilities?

"By the way, where are we?" Krillin asked curiously, looking around.

"This doesn't seem like Earth," Yamcha muttered, shaking his head.

"Yeah." Tien Shinhan nodded.

"Everyone, this is the Sacred World of the Kai," the Grand Elder said.

"The Sacred World of the Kai?"

Krillin and the others were taken aback.

"This is Old Supreme Kai, and this is Supreme Kai. And this is Lord Kibito." The Grand Elder introduced them one by one.

"Supreme Kai?"

Krillin and the others were stunned all over again.

We just left King Kai's place.

And now we've ended up with Supreme Kai?

That's quite a leap!

"King Kai said there's a Grand King Kai above him..." Krillin rubbed his head, pondering.

"Supreme Kai is the god who oversees all the Kai. He's also the greatest god in this universe." Kibito smiled proudly.

Krillin and the others stared in shock.

Who would've thought this old man was such a great god?

Anyone who didn't know better would've thought he was just an improper old man.

"Just as I thought. He's no ordinary foe." Old Supreme Kai scrutinized Frieza through the crystal ball and couldn't help marveling.

"Is something wrong, my ancestor?" Supreme Kai froze and asked Old Supreme Kai in confusion.

"Fool, couldn't you tell that Frieza had gotten stronger?" Old Supreme Kai scolded him, glaring and stroking his beard.

"Really? I didn't notice." Supreme Kai smiled awkwardly, at a loss for words.

Ancestor, could you please not scold me in front of all these people?

You're making me look bad as Supreme Kai!

"Fool! I told you to study properly, but you never listened!" Old Supreme Kai snapped angrily.

Supreme Kai grew even more embarrassed. He lowered his head, blushing, and couldn't say a word.

A brief silence followed.

"Goku should be fine, right?" Supreme Kai asked with an awkward smile. "After all, Goku's strength should be about the same as mine now... Even if Frieza has gotten stronger, how strong could he have become?"

Old Supreme Kai had nothing to say.

How did this kid even become Supreme Kai?

How could he know so little?
